Pullip Alura preorders closing soon!

It’s been a while since I’ve written about Pullip Alura here, so to refresh everyone’s memories… Pullip Alura is a collaboration between Mistubachi@BabyBee (face up) x  Momolita (outfit) x Laura (photographer/stylist) . She is the second doll produced by this collaboration the first being Pullip Laura (they share a face up but are styled/dressed differently). In Japan, Alura is a Dolly Japan magazine exclusive which means you had to buy the necessary issue of Dolly Japan to mail away to receive her several months later. Fortunately for the US, JPGroove will be receiving a small number of Pullip Alura which they have placed up for preorder here. She is priced at $149.99 and is set for a mid-October release, her preorder period is set to close on the 24th. At this time, if you are within the US and want a Pullip Alura the only way to absolutely guarantee it is to preorder through JPGroove as Pullipstyle will not know if they are able to offer her or not until some time after JPGroove’s preorder period closes.

I personally couldn’t risk missing out on this gorgeous girl, so I preordered her through JPGroove. Alura will be my first 2015 Pullip!

Sailor Moon x Pullip – New Pictures of Sailor Saturn surface and up for preorder @Pullipstyle

Some additional photos of Sailor Saturn have surfaced recently via Groove’s blog. If you somehow haven’t already heard, Groove is currently doing a collaboration with Sailor Moon and has released various dolls based on characters from the series. Sailor Saturn is the 13th doll released as a part of the Sailor Moon x Pullip collaboration series, she is the second Dal.

Sailor Saturn is an October release in Japan alongside Pullips Favorite Ribbon Chocolate Version and Pullip La Robe Vert Bleu Royal. Here in the US we will get her one month later due to transit time. She has a MSRP of 17000 yen. Pullipstyle has already opened up preorders for Sailor Saturn where she is priced at $130.

Tiny Anthro BJD Milk-Pang

Pullipstyle is running a special on several different Pang-ju, most are now marked to a very affordable $50 each. I had ordered Flower-Pang and I was so taken with her that I ended up ordering some additional Pang-ju recently. Milk-Pang is one of my recent additions and was the first up for photos.

For those of you who don’t already know, Pang-ju is a tiny ball jointed doll made by Groove (the company that makes Pullip). While they are bjds they are not made out of resin so they may be off-topic on some of the purist bjd forums. Pang-ju come with a face up, eyes and as well as an outfit their themes are often quite whimsical with releases including a British palace guard, a flower and a cow (no, I’m not kidding!- link). They are not gendered so technically they can be either gender though most of the releases are styled to be more feminine or masculine with only a few being somewhat androgynous. They are very tiny, only about four inches tall roughly the same size as a Lati White (size comparison).

Milk-Pang was released in October of 2013 with a MSRP of 10000 yen. She was the eleventh Pang-ju released.

New Pullips Announced for October- New Versions of Favorite Ribbon & La Robe Vert Clair

Groove has recently announced a pair of new dolls due for release in October via their blog. Both of the new Pullips may look a bit familiar because they are recolored variants of last year’s surprise darlings La Robe Vert Clair and Favorite Ribbon.
P163_P164_mailLike last time, these dolls are the results of a triple collaboration between Groove, Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and models Aoki Misako and Fukasawa Midori. Baby, the Stars Shine Bright  is a world famous lolita company, they made the outfits that the dolls wear which are more or less the same as last time’s except for the colors and the addition of an apron to Favorite Ribbon Chocolate Version’s outfit. Aoki Misako and Fukasawa Midori are both models here there are featured in a picture from BtSSB‘s blog when the original dolls inspired on them were announced.

Both dolls are priced at 21000 yen which is a little bit more expensive than the last time around. They do have a release date of October in Japan, which means that we will not get them here in the US until late November.

Sailor Moon x Pullip- Sailor Saturn Dal Announced!

Groove has announced the thirteenth doll in the extremely popular Sailor Moon x Pullip series via their blog, it’s Sailor Saturn! Not many details have been released about Sailor Saturn’s release yet but at this point I’m assuming she will be an October release in Japan.
sailorsaturndalIt seems like fans have been discussing whether Sailor Saturn would be a Pullip or a Dal since the Sailor Moon x Pullip series started, to me it always seemed obvious that she should be a Dal as Dal’s frowny face just seems to suit the character more.

I think Groove did a great job with Sailor Saturn, I love all the details though I am sincerely disappointed that Saturn does not seem to come with her signature weapon, her glave.

I will be sure to update as more information becomes available. I will definitely be buying her as soon as she becomes available even though I’m woefully behind on the Sailor Moon x Pullip series.

Tiny Anthro BJD Pang-ju Flower-pang

Pang-ju are tiny anthro bjds made by Groove, they resemble a Chihuahua or maybe a cat? Last year, I bought Cranberry-Pang who I reviewed here I actually quite liked the little darling and had been pining for more particularly Flower-Pang and Pome-Pang ever since unfortunately other priorities got in the way. Recently Pullipstyle slashed the prices on many different Pang-ju including Flower-Pang and Pome-Pang are priced at only $50. Of course, I was powerless to resist the little darlings at a bargain price so I immediately ordered Flower-pang and Pome-Pang. I unfortunately missed out on Chiffon-Pang.

Some additional general information about Pang-ju, they are ball jointed dolls but they are not made out of resin so they may be considered off-topic on some forums such as Den of Angels. Despite the fact that they are not resin, they work like a regular bjd they are fully strung and have removable/replaceable eyes. They are super tiny, they are only a little over three inches tall.

Flower-Pang was released in June of 2014 with a MSRP of 10000 yen. I think what attracted me to her was her theme, it reminded me of little kids dressing up for a play or maybe a ballet? I thought it was a really cute concept and I love the spring inspired palette they used for her outfit.

Tiny BJDs Ai Dolls and Pang-ju now in stock and on special on Pullipstyle

Pullipstyle just got in a restock of Pang-ju, the adorable little Chihuahua anthro tiny bjd as well as a shipment of Ai Dolls including some of the rarest dolls like Tsubaki and they almost all have very affordable prices!

Ai Dolls Ai Dolls are tiny ball jointed dolls, they are approximately five inches tall. They are not made out of resin so they are considered off-topic on some bjd forums like Den of Angels but they are great even if they are not made out of resin because they are very inexpensive especially when you consider that you get a full set doll with a face up and wig/clothes eyes for a great low price! To put this in perspective, I normally pay upwards of $40+ for a default face up alone depending on the bjd company. They are great little dolls on their own but they would probably be great for anyone who is curious about bjd but is hesitant to take the plunge as they are normally so cost prohibitive.
Good & EvilThere is definitely a lot of variety with Ai Dolls their themes range from everything from matador to maid and from devil to pope. I love how unique and original some of themes are! There is also variety in the dolls themselves as there are four different facemolds that have been used for Ai Dolls over the years my Ai Doll FAQ, additional information about the face molds as well as which Ai Doll has which face sculpt can be seen on my  Ai Doll FAQ that I had made up a while back. There is also a size comparison available there as well  with proper bjds like Pukifee and Lati Yellow for those curious.An interludeAs of this writing, nineteen different Ai Dolls are available for purchase on Pullipstyle prices range from $40-$50 depending on the model, now the hard part of choosing which one to buy! Hmmm… the fox spirit, the pilot or maybe just one of the straight up cute ones…. decisions, decisions…

Pang-ju Pang-ju are tiny anthro bjds that were made by Groove over the past few years, they are quite adorable! I mentioned previously that Pullipstyle had placed them on special here recently, most went out of stock very quickly. It seems like Pullipstyle must have received their restock as their Pang-ju selection has repopulated. You can see their selection of Pang-jus here. Bloom! My Flower-pang that I ordered when the sale started arrived a few days ago and I couldn’t be happier with her, you can look forward to seeing a review of her here in the near future as well as Pome-Pang who I have not photographed yet ^^; . I desperately want to order Chiffon-pang now but I must be patient, there have been so many really awesome sales lately my wallet wants a break.

Pullips Sailor Pluto & Eve Sweet available for preorder also Pang-ju sale @Pullipstyle

Pullipstyle has opened up preorders for Pullip Sailor Pluto and Pullip Eve Sweet, both dolls are set for a late October release.
Eve Sweet Pullip Eve Sweet is priced at $120 and can be preordered here. Eve Sweet is really lovely and she is supposed to be the first doll in the new Innocent Flowers series of dolls, I definitely look forward to seeing future dolls in this series.
Sailor Pluto Sailor Pluto is priced at $130 and can be preordered here. Sailor Pluto is the 12th doll in the very popular Sailor Moon x Pullip series of dolls. She is definitely going on my wish list though I am so behind in this series I still need Sailor Jupiter, Sailor Chibi-Moon, Sailor Uranus and Tuxedo Mask ^^;

Also of note, Pullipstyle is also having a sale on most Pang-ju, Pang-ju are adorable tiny anthro bjds that resemble Chihuahuas. You can check out their selection here, I should warn though that these little doggies are going fast!

Pirate Pullip Rovam visits El Galeon

Avast ye mateys, let me tell you the tale of the fearsome Pullip Rovam. Pullip Rovam was part of the booty I plundered from Groove’s Sample Sale. Rovam hails from ye olden day of Pullip, in fact next month will mark the tenth anniversary of her release! In order to celebrate her arrival as well as her impending anniversary, I decided to take her along with me to go for a tour of the El Galeon, as what could be a more perfect setting for photos of the scurviest of all Pullips?  The El Galeon is a  wooden replica of a Spanish 16th century galleon, it recently visited New London which is local to me.

Sailor Moon x Pullip- Sailor Pluto details announced!

Groove made one other very exciting announcement via their blog last night, they announced the long awaited details concerning Pullip Sailor Pluto’s release!

Pullip Sailor Pluto will be the twelfth doll released as a part of the very popular Sailor Moon x Pullip collaboration line of dolls. We saw a teaser picture of her that was released last week but there were not a lot of details about her release available at that time, Groove has now filled in the blanks she is due for a September release and will be priced at 17000 yen.
