     Yes these are all my girls (well I haven’t added Asuka yet but she just came today ^^; ). I have been collecting for around 18 months now, never quite expected to get so many ^^;

   Wow,so lucky! To have been collecting for so little of time, you have some bigtime rares (to me anyways). I always loved Feena and Saber. I want an Asuka and Rei so badly it hurts! I didn’t know that they had come out with Mari tho (I feel kinda dumb #_#). Her face mold is beautiful! I was wondering (if you don’t mind that is) how did you come by all of these? I’ve heard of a person who resides in Japan (or that area) and bbuys for us outsiders,but I just don’t know of a good one.

     Thanks, we have been collecting for slightly under two years now and we have been very fortunate so far. Most were either acquired through lottery from VolksUSA (some of the dollfies like Lily Saber were available through the website but only for a limited time and who got the right to buy was decided via lottery) or from Yahoo Japan. You have to use a proxy to bid for you on Yahoo Japan, I have used Shoppingmalljapan as well as Japan-to-door as proxies before and have had good luck with both of them.

   What a wonderful collection of Dollfie Dreams you’ve got!! I love the scenes you made, it’s as if they just stepped out of their manga comics. Ohw I’m doomed, I so would like to have a Dollfie Dream doll too. It just takes for ever (so it seems) to save up for one….if you want a doll, you need it NOW! Right?

     Thank y0u so much for commenting 😀 The DD push me to be a better photographer as I really enjoy photographing them. I cut out a lot of other stuff (instead of buying blurays/dvds I do netflix, for example) to be able to save up more quickly for the DD saving up for them can be arduous but they are worth it.

   I only have a DD with an 04 head, but she is like my child!
   I swear, if they come out with a Panty or Stocking DD, my wallet is good as gone! xD

     Thanks so much 😀 I love the type 04 head, if I was more handy with customizing I would probably be more interested in them unfortunately I am not very handy. Panty and Stocking DD would be awesome, Volks has worked with Gainax before so maybe they will eventually release the pair.

     Not sure if they will ever release any boy DD, you could always use a male 60cm obitsu with a dd head the obitsu bodies are much more poseable but I can’t think of any dd head that would work for a boy offhand ^^;

   I love your dolls and how you make them come to life in your photographs. You mentioned somewhere that you use a proxy service? I don’t know much about them, would you mind pointing me in the right direction since there are some DDs that I like but can’t seem to find anywhere else. Thank you!

     Thanks so much ^_^ I’ve previously used ShoppingMallJapan and Rinkya, but then I had a friend who moved to Japan for about 18 months who was able to act as my personal proxy (he was much easier to pay, all he wanted was non-mosaiced porn for his troubles ^^;). Even on Yahoo Japan it may be a long wait for certain DD, normally when I have enough saved up for a DD I have a shortlist of three that I really want and see who of the three is available and which one is the most reasonably priced at the moment.

     It depends on the model, MSRP ranges from around $500 to almost $1000 the ones based on anime characters are limited edition and for the most part are distributed via lottery (you win the right to buy) and winning has become harder over the years as Dollfie Dream have become more popular. About once a year they do a preorder doll like Miku where anyone can order within a certain time period. Depending on popularity of the character some go for much more than what Volks sell them for it, characters like Saber, Sasara and Tamaki are ultra-popular and are cripplingly expensive because everyone wants them.

     I recommend you check out dollfiedreams.com if you are interested in dollfie dreams, it’s a forum community and it has a marketplace sometimes the prices there are more reasonable than eBay etc.

   I was wondering, why did you get 2 Yokos? I know one has a custom wig, but I’d think swapping wigs would be easier than finding a second doll.

     The first one was/is my husband’s and he didn’t like me playing with her so I bought my own so I could do whatever I wanted with her, most of the time mine wears a business suit these days. We bought both girls pretty soon after the preorder dolls had shipped so they were cheaper and plentiful then. I also have a set of Mayu twins, I really love the smiley sculpts apparently ^^;
