In between the release of two different series of Little Pullips (Original & Little Pullip +), a different line of mini dolls existed for a brief moment in time. In January 2008, the Angel Pullip & Dal line debuted with six releases. They were fairly low cost at about 1800 yen but they were also a lot more simply done than any of the other minis released, their eyes were painted on and their hair was rooted. They were poorly received by the Pullip community and due to their unpopularity the subsequent releases that had been announced were all canceled. It is notable that Angel Dals were the first mini version released of Dal.
