VolksUSA lottery results

VolksUSA recently announced the winners of the lottery for the various Dolls Party 24 items, as I had mentioned previously the Saber Lily Dollfie Dream was one of the items available. I had actually been holding off on buying a Saber Dollfie Dream hoping for a Saber Lily DD (and a Rider Dollfie Dream Dynamite but I guess hope springs eternal for that one). When I initially saw pictures I fell in love with Saber Lily, then I had a change of heart and decided I preferred the original Saber DD over Lily. The more I thought about it and looked at the promotional pictures the more I wanted Saber Lily, luckily for me I decided I had to have her while the lottery entry period was still ongoing and I was able to enter. I received an email last week letting me know I had won the right to buy Saber Lily but I didn’t want to share the news until she was officially paid for, Saber Lily will be joining my DD family in March. Saber Lily will be joining cast mates Rin, Illya and Sakura.
In other Dollfie Dream news…DD Rei is still wrapped up under the Christmas tree waiting for second Christmas to arrive some time early next year. I also have it on good authority that another Dollfie Dream will be joining the family as soon as next week but she isn’t as iconic as some of our other girls.

Ordered- Littlefee Luna Fullset

After weeks of debating, I think I finally made a decision on what to order through Fairyland. I ordered Littlefee Luna (Rose Full Package) through Denverdoll. I also opted to get the sleeping head a face up as I really like Luna’s default sleeping face up. I have plans to go back and order Minifee Chloe through the a la carte system some time after my next paycheck drops.

Get- Dal Sweet Risa

Sweet Risa was one of this year’s three Doll Carnival exclusives. Risa is based off of actress/model Risa Hirako, who apparently also happens to collect dal. There is a second version of Risa in more punk rock type clothing (she even comes with heart shaped glasses) simply known as Chibi Risa but she was not limited.

Somewhat luckily Pullipstyle was able to offer a limited amount of preorders for the doll carnival dolls this year, meaning for once us collectors did not have to pay an arm and a leg for them. Sweet Risa unfortunately sold out in the preorder stage but the other two doll carnival limiteds Clara and Chloi are still up for sale.

Get- Byul Maya

Despite my best efforts to avoid catching the dreaded byul sickness, I find myself succumbing more and more to byul’s pug-like charm. My newest dalliance into the byul-side is Maya, she is the third doll in the Hime or princess style from last December’s trio of releases.

Arrivals- Fairyland Pukifees Luna and Pong BJDs

Way back in September I participated in the Fairyland Summer Event and ordered two Pukifees Luna and Pong. I had been curious about Pukifees since they had been released but I had been able to resist even though there was an Ante (Ante is my favorite Fairyland mold) released. I dislike having an odd doll out, so to speak I know they don’t really get lonely but it bothers me if there is a doll that is singled out because it is the only one of it’s type or size. I had been hesitant, because if I bought one I knew I would end up buying it some company ^^; I had managed to resist for quite some time until Fairyland pulled the Alice in Wonderland card… If I ordered the two of them together it would save one of them from pining away on the shelf awkwardly without it’s mate.

Fairyland Event and New Dolls

Fairyland started their winter event yesterday and fully revealed their doll line up this morning. In all four pukipukis were revealed (three new face sculpts and one reissue), one realpuki, two Littlefees as well as the first new pair of a new doll line Feeple65.

Emma Frost Pullip

Back in October, I happened to be browsing Pullipstyle‘s dentbox section and I found a returned Naomi that looked like she desperately needed some tlc so of course I could not resist giving her a good home. As I tried to figure out what I would do with her it occurred to me that with her icy eye make up she may just make an awesome Emma Frost.

Christmas get- Clementine and Tangerine mug

Clementine is a rewigged Papin pullip and she has been with me for just about three years now and she is still my favorite of all my dolls. Even though she is was not really expensive, rare or hard to find she is still my favorite there is just something about her that I love and adore. I love her so much I turned my Tangerine (custom Papin dal by Requiemart) into a mini-me for Clem; orange wig and all. Clementine recently had to go away for some repairs as she is so well-loved she was starting to show some signs of fatigue and badly needed a spa vacation. Requiemart came over on Friday for a doll meet (and again today but that is a much different story!) and Clementine made her triumphant return. We also exchanged Christmas gifts…

Requiemart was of course very familiar with my very intense love of Clementine…. She had recently commissioned Kobold to chibi illustrations of the cast of her picfic All my Pullips and the illustrations were absolutely adorable. I thought the illustrations were just about the cutest thing ever. Requiemart surprised me with not only commissioning Kobold to do an illustration of Clementine and Tangerine but having it made into a mug as well. Knowing my adoration of the color orange she chose a mug with an orange inside as well as an orange handle. The back of the mugs says Papins.

Here is the art piece that Requiemart commissioned from Kobold. It is so heart-wrenchingly adorable ❤ They are absolutely perfect, their outfit details are utterly perfect too.

The mug goes especially nice with my dal mug also by Requiemart. I admit I have a bit of a thing for mugs, I even have a Paja mug.

Arrival- Volks MSD F-19

I got a new addition to my resin family today, the lovely Rebekkah. She is a Volks MSD F-19. She was a full choice system doll but I was not the one who ordered her, I bought her secondhand as-is. The FCS exists so you can design your own dream doll and I almost feel like I stole someone else’s dream by owning her ^^; .

The F-19 had always been one of my favorite msd headmolds, unfortunately owner photos of this mold are kind of scarce so I was absolutely delighted when I saw one pop up for sale. I have to admit she was a bit of the spur of the moment purchase, I had loved the headmold since I first saw it but I hadn’t ever seen one up for sale before so when I found one I pounced.

February Pullips and Co Lineup- Angelic Pretty and Steampunk

I already discussed these in a previous entry here but better pictures have since surfaced. These should be available for preorder on Pullipstyle any day now, they are all collaborations so I predict even preorder pricing will be over $100 each for these.

Pullip Prupate

I still think I would have preferred her stock in more of a pastel color palette.

Purpate’s face up is soft and lovely. I like the slightly darker streaks in her wig too, it keeps her from becoming too washed out I think.

Dal- JouJou

Joujou is really sweet but she doesn’t really stand out very much.

She has an extremely soft face up, possibly the softest dal face up yet but she isn’t very memorable ^^; I am hoping she comes with the bunny companion plush she is pictured with.

Byul- Sucre

Sucre is my favorite of February’s releases, this scares me because I am not supposed to even like byul. She is just a perfect little irresistible confection.

I think the face up really suits byul’s face.

Isul- Apollo

Poor Isul, most non-doll collectors think taeyang is girly Isul never really stood a chance. This is Isul’s first release so despite his raised cost (he is part of the steampunk line so he will probably be around $150) he will probably sell out very quickly as everyone has been anxiously awaiting this boy.

I’m not wholly convinced on him just yet, I am not generally a big fan of boy dolls…I eventually want the rest of the Steampunk set though so if I get an Isul it will probably be him.
