Halloween Limited Pullip Banshee

The Halloween limited edition Pullip Banshee and Isul Sith arrived yesterday from Pullipstyle. I have been anxiously awaiting the pair since they were announced back in August especially since Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I decided to photograph Banshee yesterday as I ordered her first, I photographed Sith today so I’ll probably blog his photos tomorrow.

After much thought I decided to name her Morrigan after a goddess in Irish folklore. Morrigan is the goddess of battle, strife and fertility but she has also been linked with banshees in later legends/writings.

Coming Soon Lati Yellow!

Something rather unexpected has happened, I’ve very recently fell head over heels for Lati Yellows. I got a little bit of bonus money recently and while trying to decide exactly what I was going to do with the money, my thoughts just kept returning to Lati Yellows. I looked at all the releases and eventually picked out my three favorites Halloween Pumpkin Version Lumi and Christmas Elves Kuku and Lea then I tried my luck hunting them down on Den of Angels forum (very large bjd forum). While I did find quite a few Lati Yellows being sold on DoA none of them were the ones I had been looking for, I had remembered a friend recommending the Lati Yellow Adoption Yahoo Group to a mutual friend when they first became interested in Lati Yellows. I decided to try my luck there but not to get too hopeful, I posted a WTB right before heading off to bed Saturday night (well early Sunday morning) and much to my surprise and delight I had a response offering me my first choice waiting for me when I woke up.

I’m officially getting the Halloween Pumpkin Version of Lumi, I am getting her as a fullset with all her option parts. Alas she probably will not be home in time for Halloween .

Scary Byul Lilith

I recently did a trade with Requiemart and got her customized Lilith Byul in exchange for one of my own dolls. Requiemart has eventual intentions of making a Lilith Dal so she was keen on keeping Lilith’s stock/wig, Lilith has a definite look about her so she was a bit of a challenge to find a suitable new look for. After lots of playing around with different looks , I think I am finally happy with her new look….

She is known simply as The Nameless as those who know her name are far too afraid of her to speak, less they incur her wrath.

ANIMADNESS!!!

I decided to go visit Requiemart on Saturday (more on the dolly meet later), since I was already in the area I decided to take a run up to Animadness. Animadness is a store that sells anime figures and various paraphernalia as well as Pullips in Waltham, MA; while they aren’t exactly local to me (it’s about a two and a half hour drive each way but it’s only about half an hour from Requiemart’s house) I still manage to drop in for a little shopping spree every couple of months. In a way, I am kind of glad that Animadness isn’t closer to me as if they were as if they were much closer I feel I would be perpetually broke.

Whenever I visit, I take lots of store pictures as I have personally ventured all over New England trying to find various hole-in-the-wall comic book stores/stores that supposedly sold anime most of the time I ended up well rather disappointed I figure that if I post pictures anyone curious about the store can gauge for themselves whether or not it is worth the trip or not (it totally is!). Haru-chan Nendoroid

I picked up the Haru-chan nendoroid during my most recent trip to Animadness. I had actually been admiring the Haru-chan nendoroid ever since she was announced but due to my cutting back on collecting anime figures, I neglected to preorder her. I ended up regretting passing on her so when I saw her at Animadness I pounced and I did not regret it as she is cute as a button!

I absolutely love Haru-chan’s joyful and carefree expression. She seems to be the embodiment of pure and utter happiness.

Pullip Prupate (Twiggy)

I recently purchased a second Pullip Prupate, I’ve actually had her for a few weeks now but had a hard time deciding on a look for her which I think I finally found it last night.I previously blogged about my other Prupate Carnivale who I am keeping stock but I love my new one so much I decided she needed her own blog post too.

Since she ended up with a bit of a mod theme, I decided to name her Twiggy.

Transformers Mini figures

I’ve been seeing the Kre-O Transformers kits around for a while now, while I didn’t really care for the kits themselves I loved the Transformers mini-figures. Rather than buying all the kits myself, I turned to ebay and found an auction for all the mini figures by themselves and pounced.
Of course, I may have committed some dolly related blasphemies with them.

Ordered! Saber Dollfie Dreams

It’s official, I put my order in yesterday on VolksUSA for Dollfie Dreams Saber Alter the 2nd version of Fate Hollow/Ataraxia and Saber of Fate/EXTRA. I was supposed to have a cap of 20 Dollfie Dreams which I reached earlier this year, the purchase of any additional Dollfie Dreams would require a blood-price in the form of only using funds from the sale of other dolls to purchase them. I sold several dolls in the past few weeks to raise the necessary funds to purchase them but I feel like it was worth it even though I am now in for a hell of a wait (June of next year).

Although I love both of the new Saber Dollfie Dreams, I must admit a slight preference towards Saber Alter 2nd version I am more drawn to evil characters it seems ^^; I actually did two separate orders for them and Saber Alter 2nd Version was ordered several hours before the other so she will officially be counted as my 21st DD (I’m actually hoping by the time she gets here she will be the 22nd or 23rd but we shall see).

I tried to be good and wait until the rest of my paypal funds transferred into my bank account before ordering her but I couldn’t sleep last night so I ended up ordering her around 3am this morning ^^;

Coincidentally, I am on a dolly diet for the duration of October I have some car repairs to my secondary vehicle I need to take care of and between ordering both Saber Dollfie Dreams and Littlefee Rolly a few days ago I’m pretty tapped out.

My Little Pony

I’m doing a combined post for all my recent My Little Pony photos etc as otherwise I fear they would overrun the entire first page.

I recently approached Requiemart about possibly making me, my first custom My Little Pony. Before Requiemart started customizing Pullips, she was a renown MLP customizer but most of her creative energy is now focused on Pullips and she doesn’t do many ponies anymore.

My favorite episode from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series is “Party of One” where the normally hyper-cheerful Pinkie Pie experiences a mental break. I asked Requiemart to make me a psychotic version of Pinkie Pie as seen in “Party of One” and I am absolutely delighted how well she turned out. She looks delightfully demented, positively unhinged.. I need to start hunting down re-ment of a sack of flour and a bucket of turnips (I reckon I can find rocks and lint without having to resort to buying them). I can’t wait to pick her up at our next meeting.

Ordered! Fairyland Littlefee Rolly BJD

Fairyland just recently announced an Autumn event that runs through the end of October, they also introduced several new Bjds to entice people to order. New Bjd announcements include FeePle65 Seian, Minifee Mirwen, Pukifees Zefi and Bonnie as well as Littlefees Chiwoo and Rolly. Had it not been for the Littlefees, I would have been blessedly safe from this event unfortunately Rolly proved too much to resist for me. I absolutely love everything about her, I even love her little Red Riding Hood theme (I think she will look spectacular next to my Volks Yo-SD Lorina).

I finally caved and ordered her earlier today through Denverdoll. I bought Rolly with her Red Riding Hood fullset and I opted to get her sleep face with a face up, I also ended up tossing in a set of Pukipuki ice skates so I could make the $450 barrier so I could get the Rolly event faceplate. Hopefully she will be home in time for Christmas ( normal Fairyland processing time is 8-12 weeks but I suspect during the event things will run a tad slower due to volume of orders) .
