I’m Gonna Wreck it! (Various Wreck-it Ralph toys)

After an exhaustive but ultimately in vain search for Wreck-it Ralph toys in all of Disney World (I searched every store in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney, I even hit up the Disney outlets) and turning up empty, I was very disappointed. Upon returning home, I looked on Disneystore.com and low and behold I found most of the plushes of the racers from Sugar Rush- they also happened to be on deep clearance. I ordered the seven they still had stock then quickly bought the other three on amazon/ebay, then due to how busy I have been lately I promptly forgot all about them until this morning when they all arrived. Mr. Klein thoroughly baffled me this morning, all he told me was that a large batch of stinky children had arrived.

Apparently the Sugar Rushers are scented plushes, they all smell like different fruits/candies they all smell pretty good; Mr. Klein however felt that Jubileena smelled like cough drops hence they were stinky (she smells like cherries!).

Puddle 2013

After several years of not being able to make it, I finally was able to attend the 2013 Pullip and Dal Lovers Event (more commonly known as Puddle) this past weekend. Puddle is held at the Holiday Inn Chicago-Elk Grove once a year, every summer. I flew into Chicago Friday, after only getting home from my trip to Disney World on Wednesday and then flew back late Saturday night.

Though Puddle’s primary focus is on Pullips and company, other dolls are welcome as well. There were also some Bjds and Dollfie Dreams in attendance as well as Blythes, a Nikki and probably a couple of others I’m forgetting.

Disney World Trip (trip report & new toys- mostly Disney)

I went to Disney World last week, I’ve been before but I hadn’t been in several years; more importantly my four year old daughter had never been to Disney World. Zilla (not here real name obviously but rather a nickname she got from her Godzilla-like tendencies towards my toys) is at that age where Disney is a truly magical experience as the people in costume are still the characters they portray instead of just being some guy in a Tigger suit. My grandparents ie. the people who raised me and originally brought me to Disney World came along with the zilla, Mr. Klein and myself as they wanted to see Zilla at the happiest place on earth while they are still able to travel.

My return to Disney after not being for so many years and this time with a little one of my own in tow kind of offered me a unique perspective on Disney World. I figured I would share some of my experiences here even though this isn’t really the sort of thing I normally cover though I did get something anime related at Disney World that filled my black heart with glee.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica- Madoka & Homura Figures

It occurred to me that I had this pair for a little while now but I never shared any pictures of them. Madoka and Homura are from the series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, the figures are part of the Beach Queen line by Wave. The figures are approximately 1/10 scale and have a msrp of ¥3800 each.

This post serves a dual purpose, I wanted to post about my somewhat newly acquired Homura and Madoka beach queen figures and I wanted to put up a little blurb about how I will be on vacation next week! What better way to say I am going on vacation than a couple of cute girls in bikinis, eh?

I’m off to Disney World next week, I’ll have my laptop with me but chances are it’ll be radio silence from me next week. It’s entirely possibly that I’ll start catching up on my backlogged posts (more Madoka figures/new pullips announced/Sentimental Noon review) tomorrow. I’ll be stuck home all day obsessing like a drug fiend, frantically checking and rechecking tracking numbers to see if my Pukifee Vanilla and/or Dollfie Dream Sister Mayu will arrive before I leave for Disney instead of being held in postal limbo until my return…. so I may as well get something done, right?

Anime Boston 2013

I decided to do another post on Anime Boston, this time focusing on my general con experience. This was my seventh time attending Anime Boston and my ninth anime convention overall (I’ve been attending cons irregularly since like 2001, I’m old ^^; ).

One thing I like about anime conventions is you never quite know what you are going to find there…. like a giant Charlotte roaming the halls.

Away for Anime Boston!

Just a heads up, I will be attending Anime Boston this weekend so I probably won’t be able to respond to much of anything until I return Sunday morning. Despite fate seemingly conspiring against my attending this year, I’m still pushing forward with my plan to be there first thing tomorrow morning. When I get home, I’ll post up tons of pictures like always.
I haven’t really looked at the schedule too hard just yet but I will more than likely try to attend one or both of the Madoka panels as well as the bjd meets.

This year will be interesting as the past two years I have attended with a friend and we both worked at booths in the dealer room, this year I’m purely going for fun and will be going with my partner in crime as well as my bestest minion. Although my partner in crime is a real veteran of the con scene he has been unable to attend the past couple of years, my minion has never attended a convention of any kind before so it should keep things pretty interesting this weekend.

Yeolume now available for preorder at Pullipstyle

Great news, everyone Yeolume is now available for preorder at Pullipstyle. Yeolume can be preordered here, she is due approximately the 30th of May and her price is a mere $78 (plus shipping). A second Yeolume named Black berry has just been announced, while she is not yet available for preorder it is worth noting that the original release’s name has been revealed as Podo.

And… I suppose I should admit that I just preordered Podo myself via Pullipstyle ^^; When she was first announced I didn’t know what to make of her but after spending some time with the production sample, I grew quite fond of her so I’m glad Pullipstyle was able to stock her for sale.

On a personal note, I’m horrible sick at the moment not as sick as I was earlier this week when I ended up in the hospital but I’m not still not well. What was initially thought to be horrible allergies actually turned out to be several other things instead. There has been significant improvement in my health over the last day so while I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to attend Anime Boston next week, I really can’t say how probable my actually making it there is at this point.

More Yeolume!

It’s that time of the year again, all the flowers are in bloom and my allergies are officially kicking my ass ^^; Due to the above mentioned allergies I didn’t get quite as many photos of Yeolume as I would have liked but I wanted to share some of the photos I have taken of her.

For those of you who don’t know, Yeolume is currently here on loan from Pullipstyle. She is a production sample.

I decided to play off the fact that Yeolume is a schoolgirl and did a school themed shoot with her. I kept her mostly stock just added a set of glasses (msd sized) and gave her a set of pigtails to show how different she can look with just a few simple changes.

Vocaloid Miku Nendoroid Sakura Version

Variety is the spice of life, so rather than another doll post I decided to do a post focusing on one of my new anime figures that I acquired during my recent figure shopping binge. The Sakura or Cherry Blossom version of the Vocaloid Miku Nendoroid was originally a Good Smile Shop/Good Smile x Karaoke no Tetsujin Cafe exclusive, I missed the preorder so I picked mine up on the secondhand market.

Miku has been here about a month or so but I was kind of waiting for the flowers to come into bloom before taking pictures of her.
