I’m Gonna Wreck it! (Various Wreck-it Ralph toys)

After an exhaustive but ultimately in vain search for Wreck-it Ralph toys in all of Disney World (I searched every store in Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios,  Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney,  I even hit up the Disney outlets) and turning up empty, I was very disappointed. Upon returning home, I looked on  Disneystore.com and low and behold I found most of the plushes of the racers from Sugar Rush- they also happened to be on deep clearance. I ordered the seven they still had stock then quickly bought the other three on amazon/ebay, then due to how busy I have been lately I promptly forgot all about them until this morning when they all arrived. Mr. Klein thoroughly baffled me this morning, all he told me was that a large batch of stinky children had arrived.
Sugar Rush Racers
Apparently the Sugar Rushers are scented plushes, they all smell like different fruits/candies they  all smell pretty good; Mr. Klein however felt that Jubileena smelled like cough drops hence they were stinky (she smells like cherries!).

General comments: I have to say the quality on these plushies is pretty high especially for  the bargain bin price of $1.99 each (original MSRP was $9.99) that I paid during the “Twice Upon the Year” sale. The plushes are about nine inches tall and are scented (mint, cherries, strawberries etc). They are very well-made, I especially loved their stitched eyes and I love how faithfully they are to their respective characters in Sugar Rush.

Minty Zaki and Jubileena were both sold out on the Disney Store, I ended up paying a princely sum of $12 for the pair including shipping on the ebay. I was rather shocked to find that they had sold out before Taffyta especially considering how much Disney liked to push Taffyta merchandise. They are all adorable but I have to say that Candle Head is my favorite of all the plushes. I love that Crumbelina’s pigtails look like sticky buns from the sides- yummy!

From left to right: Adorabeezle Winterpop, Swizzle “The Swizz” Malarkey, Rancis Fluggerbutter, Gloyd Orangeboar & Snowanna Rainbeau
These little guys are cute too! My favorite from this batch is Snowanna, I love her rainbow hair. Rancis, ended up being the most expensive of the plush at $7 shipped off of Amazon so even though he is my least favorite design I needed him the most apparently >_<

Unto Vanellope! Someone here recently asked if I had the Disney Store Exclusive Vanellope doll and how it stacked up against the other talking Vanellope doll I have.  I actually do own both and had the Disney Store one for quite a while, I just hadn’t gotten around to deboxing/photographing it quite yet since I was already playing with the other Sugar Rushers I figured today was the day.
Vanellope
The general release Vanellope doll is on the left; she has a MSRP of $49.99 and she says 30 different phrases in Sarah Silverman’s voice. The Disney Store exclusive Vanellope is on the right; she had a MSRP of around $25 I *believe*,  she is taller than the general release and says 12 different phrases in Sarah Silverman’s voice. I didn’t pay full price for either doll, I got the one during a sale at TRU and the other during the end of the year sale at the Disney Store last year. The Disney store version has actual leggings/shoes, the general release just has hard plastic legs but the clothing in general is of a higher quality on the general release (the material feels nicer). Aesthetically, I highly prefer the general release over the Disney Store release the make up is a lot more nuanced on the general release. They have the same number of joints but I found the Disney Store version to be slightly more pose-able due to her slightly longer arms.
Vanellope
Although I prefer the general release over the Disney Store exclusive version, I have to say both dolls are pretty darn awesome.
Vanellope
I love the licorice lacing on the bottoms of their shoes!

Next item on the agenda: Track down Taffyta Muttonfudge Disney Store Doll!

I simply have to ask – aren’t you getting them mixed up? *so confused*

  2. These are so cute!! … I still haven’t seen Wreck It Ralph… I have no excuse -_-

Definitely go see Wreck-it Ralph, it’s one of the zilla’s favorites. It’s also got a ton of old school video game references that sail right over the kids heads so it’s a good mix.

The dolls are super cute! My child and his cousins have been begging me to find them Wreck-it-Ralph toys ever since they saw the movie! But we couldn’t find any in store and the ones at Toys R Us were pricey and incomplete! So I just ignored it and they forgot about it (thank goodness!) I didn’t check the Disney store online tough! Now that you mentioned it, I will go check out what they have in stock 😀

There was a lot of Wreck-it Ralph stuff on clearance when we went to Walmart last night. ToysRUS is overly expensive unless you wait for a sale. I’m surprised how quickly the toys seem to have vanished completely even from Disney. Happy hunting!
