Groove just announced the latest doll in their Alice in Wonderland x Steampunk series via their blog earlier tonight. Isul White Rabbit will be the third doll released in the Alice in Steampunk World series. The White Rabbit has been announced for an August release in Japan (September for us here in the US) and has a MSRP of 18000 yen.
This update is long overdue, so it’ll cover a wide variety of different Pullip related news….

Pullipstyle received their preorder/restock shipment last week which means Dal Sailor Chibi-Moon and Isul Ciel from Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler are now in stock! In other exciting restock news MIO kits are back, Pullipstyle just received a restock of Pullip (fair skin) and Dal MIO kits! I understand these are going pretty quickly so if you have intentions of doing a custom anytime soon now is the time to stock up especially since Isul and Taeyang are somehow miraculously still in stock as well.

JPGroove has announced via their facebook page that there will not be a SDCC exclusive Pullip this year….
“We, GROOVE USA will skip this year San Diego Comic-con International.
However at Anime Expo Los Angeles and San Diego Comic-con Bluefin booth,Our Pullip Family dolls are available to sell and display!! And, We GROOVE have a plan to make Exclusive items for this year New York Comic-con.”
So although there will not be a SDCC exclusive Pullip this year there is a silver lining, there will be a NYCC exclusive Pullip. This will only be the second time that there has been a NYCC exclusive Pullip, the first was Pullip Harley Quinn who I love and adore. I was initially very excited about this as it meant that I could possibly buy the exclusive in person for once then I realized NYCC is sold out so close and yet so far.

This last one isn’t news really but I recently bought Byul Princess Minty and Dal Princess Pinky so expect photo reviews of them here soon. I’m trying to get things back up to date here.
And to think I was just sitting here wondering what I should post about first here as I struggle to get back into the swing of things and then I saw a new announcement from Groove and inspiration struck….
Groove has announced via their blog that they will be releasing a human version of Sailor Moon’s faithful kitty cat companion Luna. No release date has been announced though I imagine she’ll be released in August, price is also unknown at this time. I will be sure to update once more information becomes available.
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, in the Sailor Moon S movie Luna becomes a human girl for a single night so she can spend time with the human astronaut she has fallen in love with (no, I’m not kidding!). I never really expected to see her as a doll but I think she makes an absolutely lovely doll!
I apologize for my absence lately and well the general lack of updates here recently. There’s been a lot of things going on in my personal life lately it seems like everything that could possibly go wrong happened all at the same time and like with everything that has been going on I’m like completely spent. I’ve been using up all my time and energy focusing on taking care of irl stuff so I have been unable to focus much attention here. Now that things are starting to calm down in my personal life, I’m hoping to get back to work here and get this place back up to date!
JPGroove made a very exciting announcement via their facebook page earlier this morning, they have opened up preorders for Pullip Alura via their website. Pullip Alura is a Dolly Japan magazine exclusive in Japan, this initially left me with dread as you basically needed to live in Japan or have a very good connection with someone in Japan to be able to preorder her; I’m so happy that JPGroove is able to offer her for preorder for us international fans of Pullip.
Normally magazine exclusives are announced way ahead of release, the companies generally need lots of lead time to produce products for these types of preorders because of this Pullip Alura will not actually be released until October. JPGroove is saying that she will also be released in October here in the US. She is priced at $150.
Pullip Alura is a collaboration between Mistubachi@BabyBee (face up) x Momolita (outfit) x Laura (photographer/stylist) . She is the second doll produced by this collaboration the first being Pullip Laura (they share a face up but are styled/dressed differently).
Pullip Alura actually comes with two different outfits, a stylish gothic circus type outfit…
as well as a classic black dress which reminds me a bit of Wednesday Addams. I think I prefer this look personally!

Last night Groove officially announced the next doll in the Alice in Wonderland in Steampunk World series via their blog. Pullip Mad Hatter joins the already announced Pullip Alice in Steampunk World, who is set to be released in June (July here in the US) – who you can read more about here. Alice in Wonderland and steampunk have both been very popular themes for Groove releases over the years, I’m kind of surprised it took them this long to create a fusion of the two themes. We have had multiple iterations of Pullips as Alice but this is the first time we have seen Pullip as the Mad Hatter so while it is still Alice in Wonderland themed, the Mad Hatter is a bit unexpected and a welcome change of pace.
Pullip Mad Hatter has a MSRP of 18000 yen and is set to be released in July (August here in the US). Despite her being a July release, Mad Hatter is only the second non-collaboration Pullip design released this year it is nice to see designs by Ars Gratia Artis especially when they are as strong as this one.
Like the gear which turning around….. TEA TIME is not over forever….. Why does the Escritoire resemble a crow?… Feel Like So.
Pullipstyle Updates
Pullip Alice in Steampunk World is now up for preorder on Pullipstyle’s site here. She is priced at $140 and she is expected to be in stock towards the end of July.
Pullip Sailor Uranus is also up for preorder on Pullipstyle’s site here. She is priced at $135 and is also expected to be in stock towards the end of July as well.
Pullipstyle announced via their facebook page yesterday that they would be starting a new reward campaign. Orders with three or more full-sized dolls ( full-sized dolls include Pullip/Dal/Byul/Taeyang/Isul does not include MIO kits/Sasha/Pang-ju/J-doll) will receive one of three older Jun Planning outfit sets free! The outfit you receive is random but the three available options are shrine maiden, police or waitress. The outfit sets are designed for type 2/3 Pullips so they are tad loose on the newer type 4 Pullips but they still look pretty cute. I don’t have the police uniform myself yet but I do have the shrine maiden outfit set as well as the waitress outfit set, since they are not that commonly seen these days I figured I should include a couple of pictures of my dolls modeling the outfit sets.
Pullip Sailor Mars models the shrine maiden outfit which is all too perfect for her as her civilian identity Rei Hino is a shrine maiden.

Alice in Steampunk Land was just one of the two Pullips that Groove recently announced via their blog, the other is the latest doll in the Sailor Moon x Pullip collaboration series Sailor Uranus! Sailor Uranus is the 9th doll announced in the Sailor Moon x Pullip. She is scheduled for a June release in Japan (July here in the US) and has a MSRP of 17000 yen.
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Sailor Uranus is one of the outer scouts that doesn’t show up until a bit later in the series. She has a relationship with Sailor Neptune in the original Japanese version the relationship was romantic but in the Americanized butchered dub they were “cousins” who were just very, very close (hilarious video evidence).

Groove recently announced a new Pullip via their blog. Pullip Alice in Steampunk World is a combination of two very popular themes for Pullip, Alice in Wonderland and Steampunk World. Groove and Jun Planning before it really seem to have a special fondness for Alice in Wonderland, a total of 11 dolls (Alice in Steamland World will be #12) have been released of the titular character has been released and that is not including minis (6) or dolls based on other characters from the story (there are so many I’m afraid I’ve lost count). Although both of her themes (steampunk & Alice in Wonderland) are both themes we have seen before on Pullip, Alice is still kind of unique and special because she is the first non-collaboraton original Ars Gratia Artis designed doll announced to be released so far this year.

Judging from this photo from Doll Show 43 that Groove had posted to their blog recently, it seems as though Pullip in Steamland World may be the first doll in a new series of Alice themed dolls. It seems like we may get a matching Alice Dal as well as possibly a Mad Hatter Pullip? I keep on hoping and praying that Groove will eventually release a Pullip Cheshire Cat, how awesome would a Steampunk themed Cheshire Cat be? The potential on that one is pretty mind blowing.

Some additional pictures of Dolly Japan Magazine Exclusive Pullip Alura have surfaced via Dolly Japan’s blog. She also appears to be available for preorder via Hobby Japan (Dolly Japan is one of their sub-brands). Hobby Japan has her priced at 19,440 yen and set for an October release, preorders are open until July 3rd.
Pullip Alura is a collaboration between Mistubachi@BabyBee (face up) x Momolita (outfit) x Laura (photographer/stylist) . It’s really nice to be able to get a closer look at Alura. Pullip Alura has the same style of new eye chips as Pullip Laura has, they are quite dynamic looking! She does have the same face up as Pullip Laura who has the same face up as Pullip Seila but her overall styling is quite different than the other two dolls. I think this look really suits her nicely, it really is amazing how versatile one face up can be!
I really hope that we see some more photos of her at Doll Show 43 over the coming days, Groove has mentioned via their blog that there would Pullip prototypes on display there.
Pullip Alura comes with two different outfits, I actually find myself preferring the black simple but elegant black dress look over the other more elaborate look. I love the style of the other outfit but I find myself wishing the shirt was more of a stark white as I feel it would compliment the rest of her outfit better.
I definitely look forward to seeing more pictures of Pullip Alura in the future, I will try and keep things updated here as more information becomes available about Pullip Alura. I am still hoping that she is eventually able to be offered by JPGroove.
