103/265- Suzumiya Haruhi Nendoroid

This Suzumiya nendoroid was another of this year’s birthday presents, it was the last of the (full-sized) Suzumiya nendoroids that I didn’t already have in my collection. This particular Suzumiya nendoroid is based off of her appearance in the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie, they have also released a Yuki based on her appearance in the film.

I love her bratty expression.

102/365- Justice League Joker Figure

This Joker figure has been on my wishlist for quite a while, unfortunately it is normally pretty hard to come by. The figure was part of the Justice League line of figures based off of the artwork of Alex Ross. It has been admittedly out for a few years now but most other Joker figures from the same time period are not fetching $60-$100 that this one commands.

I happened to get lucky on ebay with mine, I bid on an auction that was ending in an hour that had no bids on it in the $25 range and fully expected to get sniped, somehow I did not get sniped and got him for a steal haha!

101/365- Suzumiya Middle School Figma

A fairly large variety of figmas from the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya have been released over the years, including this one that I got for my birthday. This figma features Suzumiya as she appeared in middle school, since she looks so cute and childish I decided to take her along with me to the park.

I received this figma as another one of my birthday presents.

100/365- Kirakishou Pullips

Ah, Kirakishou she is ultimately the reason why I joined the pullip community. I had heard rumors of her release way back in the summer of 2007 but details were kind of sketchy so I ended up joining all the pullip forums to try and get as much information as I could about her. It paid off as I ended up finding out the information I needed to go through a contact in Japan and have them preorder her for me, so I only ended up paying about $175 shipped for her.
100/365- Kirakishou
Kirakishou was my very first grail pullip and is one of my favorites. I had previously bought a second Kirakishou NRFB but almost immediately ended up rehoming her, she was too expensive to keep. I had always kind of regretting selling the second one even with her outrageous cost (she was $500 some). Recently, a bait Kirakishou was brought to my attention; Japan values dolls slightly differently where pullips don’t really lose that much value here in the US if they get deboxed or slightly modified they sell for a whole lot less than there new counterparts in Japan. Most changes to a doll in Japan tend to junk or bait it, unless it’s a custom done by a well known person etc. This new Kirakishou came to me without her box/stand and with a slight bang trim so I only paid less than half of her going rate. Before anyone asks: I have no intentions of selling this one, I had been wanting a second Kirakishou for years and have apparently been waiting for this very girl all this time.

99/365- Rei Dollfie Dream

Dollfie Dream Rei has actually been here for a while, she arrived way back in November. She was chronologically the 15th DD (Saber Lily is the most recent arrival and she is the 20th) but she is just now being introduced properly for various reasons.

Poor Rei was the last of the last of the Christmas presents to be opened up this year, we were kind of waiting for a special occasion to open her up and finally had the opportunity to this past weekend.

98/365- Dead Master Nendoroid

The Dead Master Nendoroid was yet another of my birthday presents this year. Dead Master is the antagonist from the Black Rock Shooter OVA.

I absolutely love her character design and her gothic lolita outfit. Her cheeky facial expression is what made her a must have for me.

97/365- Noir pullip and mini pullip

Little pullip Noir was another of my birthday presents, the Noir pullip she is pictured with is somewhat of a birthday present as well. I used the money I got for my birthday to source a couple of pullips out of Japan namely Noir and Kirakishou. Neither of the dolls were mint so they were relatively cheap compared to the extortion wanted for them on eBay anyway.
97/365- Misfortune and Disaster
The new Noir’s name is Misfortune (fits in with her sisters’ names Anarchy, Madness and Mayhem quite nicely I think) and the mini’s name is Disaster.  The mini pullip is actually the 2nd mini version of Noir released, there was another mini Noir released in the older style of mini pullips.

96/365- Lunatic White Rabbit Taeyang & Kirakishou Pullip

Taeyang Lunatic White Rabbit was at the tippity-top of my wishlist for a while, even though I adore Alice in Wonderland I had other plans for him. Ever since he was announced all I could think of when I saw him was about how much he reminded me of Laplace’s Demon of Rozen Maiden.

As soon as I opened him, I of course just had to photograph him with my pullip Kirakishou.

95/365- LPS Blythe Autumn Glam & Takara Petite Blythe Squiggly Squirrel

For my birthday, I had asked for a “real” Takara Petite Blythe as I had a number of the LPS Blythes and I was curious how they compared to the real thing. I had asked for and received a Squiggly Squirrel in particular as I had seen her at Rising Sun Creations in California years ago, I kind of fancied her and regretting not buying her.

Squiggly Squirrel is on the left and the LPS Blythe Autumn Glam is on the right. I chose Autumn Glam because she matched my Squiggly Squirrel the best out of all my LPS blythe. I took a number of comparison photos under the cut for anyone interested ::warning doll nudity::

94/365- Yuki Nendoroid

The Yuki nendoroid was another one of my birthday presents. I actually don’t have the original Yuki nendoroid (it’s a long story) but I do have one of the bunny girl Yuki as well as this new one from the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Yuki tends to be my least favorite character of the Suzumiya mythos, it’s not that I hate her I just don’t love her as much as the other characters.
94/365- Yuki Nendoroid
I love how adorable the nendoroid is, this may just be my favorite Yuki figure ever released. I especially love her expression.
