Not much to say about today, just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter/zombie Jesus day or just a good day if you don’t believe in any of that.
Picture includes my Pukifee Pong (center), various small bunny plushes as well as my Requiemart custom dal Kindle (Dal Leprotto) and Byul Paulia- Miracle. I know Miracle isn’t a bunny like the rest but hey lambs are Easter-y too, right?
Almost caught up! I just recently happened to treat my DD Asuka to a wa-loli kimono from KeelyVH, I had no way of knowing that I was expecting a pullip sized wa-loli kimono as well. I was gifted this gorgeous kimono by Requiemart as a belated birthday present. Even in miniature KeelyVH’s work is astounding.
I was told the kimono was for a member of the rainbow mafia (my many, many Papins) so I decided Butterfly should have it. Butterfly was actually my very first Papin purchased way back in 2007, it’s so weird to think she is sold out now back then there always seemed to be a handful available for sale at all times secondhand. On a long enough timeline, I think each member of the rainbow mafia may need their own kimono.

Requiemart and I attended Anime Boston yesterday, unlike last year where we both attended but only sort of. Last year we both helped out at different booths (she was at Animadness and I was at Toyslogic ) so we didn’t really get to do a whole hell of a lot else. This year attendance at Anime Boston was strictly for fun or maybe a bit of sport.
These were two of my favorite cosplayers, I mean I love Joker but this guy was really selling it haha and Poison Ivy’s lukewarm reception of him was perfect.

After fawning over a beautiful Super Dollfie sized Alice in Wonderland themed wa-loli kimono on KeelyVH’s etsy shop for seemingly forever, I finally bought it. I had bought it with my Volks Super Dollfie Nono in mind but well Dollfie Dream Asuka had other ideas about who this new outfit belonged to.

Dal Dotori was another birthday present, I’ve been slowly working on opening up all the dolls I received as birthday presents over the past couple of weeks. Dotori was the dal release for this past September although she had always been a favorite of mine I somehow never managed to get my hands on her before now.
I decided to name her Heidi after the film/book as it was all I could think of when I saw this dal.

I’m going to attempt to get caught up as I’ve been naughty and fell behind again ^^; I finally got around to opening up my Black Rock Shooter figma recently, I’ve had her for a long while but I can’t quite recall when/where/how I got her . I suppose it doesn’t really matter where she come from but it slightly irritates me that I can’t recall how long she’s been here.
I’ve been really interested in Black Rock Shooter recently, it’s one of the few newer anime/phenomenon to really capture my interest.

I’m skipping ahead temporarily as I want to cover my new Duela Dent Ame-Comi figure sooner rather later. Duela Dent is somewhat of a lesser known DC Comics character, she claims to be the child of several different super villains including Two-Face, Riddler, and of course the Joker. Eventually it is revealed that she is in fact the Joker’s daughter but not mainline continuity Joker. The Joker that is her father is actually from a different world, he is actually a hero named Jokester (a female hero Two-Face from the same world is her mother ).
One of her appearances was in Countdown to Final Crisis, her appearance was brief but it left an impact; coincidentally that is where I know her from.

Taeyang Sage was another birthday present (I’m steadily working through them all this month it seems ^^;). Sage is a school boy and was released alongside girlfriend/classmate Nina way back in 2006, Nina has always been extremely popular and has just recently sold out. I’ve always been fond of Sage but the boys never really seemed to sell out that quickly so I wasn’t really too concerned about getting him quickly but a little birdy told me that he was getting close to sold out so I included him on my birthday wishlist.
I always have a bit of a problem with posing boys, no matter what they either don’t look very natural or they look overly feminine for my taste ^^;

I decided to do a combined post for days 105 and 106 as they have similar themes/subject matters. Day 105’s picture of the day featured the Ame-Comi mini figure of Batman rogue Poison Ivy. Normally the best comparison for Ame-comi figures and Japanese figures would be prize figures, as the quality is about the same unfortunately the price is not. The fact that the mini figures are well mini (slightly larger than gashapon size) actually works for them, the quality just seems better/more acceptable on the smaller scale.
The Ame-comi mini figures are being released in sets of three, the first set focused on girls of Gotham and featured Batgirl and Harley Quinn as well as Poison Ivy (I’m hoping they come back and do a second set with Catwoman and Huntress eventually).
Day 106 featured the Ame-comi Harley Quinn figure. This figure of Harley Quinn is a bit bizarre, her costume is a bit normal than usual and even her eyes are new colors (instead of the standard blue they are mismatched green and purple). I still really like the figure even if does not exude the pure essence of Harley Quinn to me.

I love Alice in Wonderland, so I knew as soon as the Lunatic Alice set was announced it was only a matter of time before I ended up with the whole set. I am kind of confused as to why Jun Planning/ Groove Inc chose to release a Humpty Dumpty instead of something a bit more mainstream like a Cheshire Cat which they have never released outside of a mini form. Humpty Dumpty is pretty cute even if her choice as a release is a bit bizarre so I’m inclined to let it slide just this once.
I had a hard time choosing a name for her so I opened it up to suggestions, I wanted something egg themed but already had a Tamago. Although there were many eggsellant (haha!) suggestions, I ended up going with the only one that literally made me laugh out loud; Eggmeltia.
