All three of September’s Pullip and company releases are collaborations. The Pullip and Taeyang are a continuation of the Vocaloid line released a few months ago, namely Vocaloids Luka and Kaito. Rumors of Luka and Kaito’s eventual release has been around for a while so it wasn’t that surprising that they turned out to be September’s releases, Dal’s collaboration with Gloomy Bear blindsided us all.
Vocaloid Pullip Luka
I absolutely love how well Vocaloid Luka translated into Pullip form. The costume, the wig are all great representations of the character even the face up suits, in my opinion. I will definitely be preordering her.
Vocaloid Taeyang Kaito
I like Kaito Taeyang quite a bit, I think Luka is the better translation of the two of them but I will also be getting him I think. His wig looks a bit suspect to me but I love his stock and his face up.
Gloomy Bear- Gloomy Dal
Honestly my first reaction when I was a picture of the Gloomy Dal is that it had to be a joke or at worst a costume set but no this is actually September’s Dal release. I don’t really have anything against Gloomy Bear, it just strikes me as a bit wtf as a collaboration with Dal it probably doesn’t help that they chose such a bold color for her hair (supposedly the Dal is said to resemble his bait?). I actually think the costume is kind of cute but I am just not so sure about this release, I think I can safely say I never expected to see this as an official release.
This past Saturday we decided to take a run up to Animadness, an anime store in Waltham, MA. I live in southeastern CT so it’s about a three hour trip for me each way, I don’t get to go all that often because of the distance. Realistically it is probably a good thing it isn’t closer as I would constantly be broke if I could just swing by after work every day.
The last time I went to Animadness was back in February, it’s amazing how much new stuff has come and how much old stuff has gone since then.

I had originally preordered the entire Vocaloid set from EntertainmentEarth but they got delayed and well patience was never one of my strong suits, luckily Pullipstyle had the set in stock. I bought Rin from Pullipstyle, I had intentions to buy Len from PS this week as well but well that is a story for another entry ^_-
I wasn’t originally sold on the idea of Rin being a Dal as it didn’t seem to suit her personality but I must admit, Rin is really quite nice in person.

There was a sales post that caught my eye recently, someone was wanting to get out of pullip to get into blythe. I had always been partial to that particular dal and well since I don’t really do all that much with my blythes so I contacted her about the doll she had up for sale. We ended up trading three dolls in total; I received an Another Soldier Rabbit, a Paja and a Monomo in trade for three of my blythes.

I chose to feature this nendoroid in my 365 toy project because although I have had it for a while I can’t remember ever actually photographing it ^^; Imoka is from the Sora o Kakeru Shoujo anime, I am not overly familiar with the anime but I thought she was adorable so I preordered her. She ended up being one of my last few random nendoroid purchases.
Since it’s been a while since I took her out for photos, I decided to take my Sakura DD out for photos last week. It was such a nice day, we stopped at a park close to my job one day after work for out little photography session.

A new member of the Pullip family was recently released namely Pullip’s little brother Isul. Unfortunately, while he is a boy Isul is still pretty commonly mistaken for a girl. I had decided to redress my Isul Apollo- Jules recently unfortunately my lack of boy clothing kind of stopped me dead in my tracks after finding him a pair of pants that fit.
A friend of mine stopped by while I had Jules sitting out just wearing the pants and thought of a solution to my lack of boy clothing, they suggested that I should simply add Melissa’s hat to the outfit.
Of course once he was in the outfit I just had to take pictures.
I’ve had these Evangelion figures for a long time, probably six or seven years now. I actually own two sets of them too, although I am not quite sure how that happened- I have one set on display and another set NRFB.
