156/365- Pinky Street travel via air balloon

I had the somewhat brilliant thought that Twilight Sparkle’s balloon from the new My Little Pony show would be the most awesome mode of transportation ever for a Little Pullip. The balloon was on sale last week at ToysRUS so I finally decided to buy it and see if it worked, unfortunately it turned out to be a failed experiment as Little Pullip was just a little too big. The balloon is however a good fit for Pinky Street.

Pullip Meet @Animadness June 18th

Animadness is hosting another Pullip meet on Saturday June 18th, the meet starts at 1pm and goes until whenever. Animadness will be running a special during the meet, all dolls will be 10% off and they will even come with a free re-ment. There will be photo areas (this meet’s theme is camping), group pictures of dolls as well as a time for buy/sell/trading/swap with other collectors.

While it is a Pullip meet, all other doll types (bjd, blythe, dollfie dream, etc) are eagerly welcomed. You are even welcome if you do not own a doll and just wish to see some in person out of idle curiosity.

I’ll be attending, I will have a small army of Pullips and company in tow as well as a dollfie dream, a bjd and a blythe. I should even have my custom Duela Dent Pullip by then. Hopefully I’ll have a new lens for my bloody camera by then.

155/365- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic- Pinkie Pie

It started innocently enough, I watched a few of the mash-ups of the new My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic show that were featured on Topless Robot then we decided to let zilla watch the show this past weekend…. Unfortunately, I feel the need to pre-screen shows for the zilla to make sure they are okay for her to watch and well the new MLP show is addictive it’s like cute crack, it’s very hard to explain but the show is very much awesome.

Of course, what would a new My Little Pony tv show be without toys? I already bought a giftset from the show earlier in the year based solely on cuteness but after watching the show I decided that picking up a few of the solo ponies would be okay. I went from just getting one maybe two, to getting one of each of the six characters >_<

153/365- Vocaloid Len Dal

As I mentioned in my recent write-up of Animadness, I bought the Vocaloid Len Dal during my last visit there. I had coincidently gone to Animadness to check on their pullip restock, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Len had already arrived. Of course, I just had to get him to go with my Dal Rin (and to complete my Vocaloid set).

They make the most perfect set of Dals. Their face ups are similar but also a bit unique from each other’s so they compliment each other well without being too redundant.

152/365- Mini-Lalaloopsy Peanut Big Time

I’ve had a Lalaloopsy doll- Crumbs Sugar Cookie for just shy of a year now, while I think they are quite adorable and have been extremely tempted to get more I haven’t bought anymore due to their size and my lack of shelf space. While wandering through Target earlier this week I spotted the mini Lalaloopsy dolls, I decided just one of the little cutie pies couldn’t hurt so I bought Peanut Big Time. I had a hard time picking out just one at the store but when I realized the super cute Peanut comes with an elephant friend well I just couldn’t resist.

I wish- BJD Minifee Rena

Fairyland announced what I think may just end up being my next bjd recently. She is Minifee Rena Amphiptere Full Set from the Fairy Atelier line.

While I absolutely love Fairyland bjds, so far all of my dolls from them have been tinies (5 soon to be 6 Pukipuki and 4 Littlefee). I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a Minifee before (I actually own a Minifee event head already) but none had ever had sparked my interest quite the way that Rena has. One of the major stumbling blocks for me with Minifee is that they are a slim msd, I really don’t want to start having to buy a wardrobe for one odd-sized bjd. Fortunately, I absolutely love Rena’s full stock look and I always have the option to buy her more clothes later so long as she at least comes with something to start with.

August Mini Pullip/Dal Releases- Panty & Stocking Collaboration

Groove Inc is starting a new line of mini Pullips and Dals called Docolla (doll+ collaboration), the first two releases are the iconic Panty & Stocking from the rather insane Gainax show Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.

These two along with the other August releases have actually been announced for a little while now, unfortunately the initial promotional photos of them were so low quality I decided to hold off on posting them until better photos surfaced.

151/365- Gothic & Lolita Psycho Yuki Pullip

A new and very different collaboration with Pullip was recently released, two dolls were released based on Rina Akiyama’s appearance as the character Yuki from the film Gothic & Lolita Psycho. Both dolls were limited to 300, one was based on how the character Yuki appeared on the poster (with one red eye) and one based on how she actually appeared in the film. The one with mismatched eyes seems to be the more hard to find and desirable of the two. Due in part to her collaboration Yuki’s MSRP was quite high and most stores were not able to offer her for sale, I got my Yuki through Amiami after shipping costs, etc she was around $240.

I’m hoping to get my hands on the other version of Yuki soon as well, the ebay prices are already a tad extreme though ^^;

150/365- Memorial Day Toy Soldiers

I’m posting this up here a few days late unfortunately ^^; For Memorial Day, I decided to utilize my Lego Toy Story Army Men on Patrol set for the picture of the day.

It’s really kind of a double-whammy because while they are toy soldiers from Toy Story, one of which was played in the film by R. Lee Ermey who also happens to be in one of my all-time favorite war movies ever Full Metal Jacket.
