167/365 & 168/365- Gothic & Lolita Psycho Yukis

I opted to do a combined post for days 167 and 168 as they both featured my new Gothic & Lolita Psycho Yuki (Poster Version) Pullip. Day 167 featured a shot of both versions of Gothic & Lolita Psycho Yuki Pullips. I’ve since decided to name them Psyche (Film Version) and Psycho (Poster Version) so I don’t keep on calling both of them Yuki.

Day 168 featured a solo shot of the Poster Version of Pullip Yuki.

166/365- New camera and Suzumiya DD pictures

I finally got a new camera, I had originally planned to just get a straight up replacement and get another Canon Eos Rebel XS  but I ended up getting a T3 instead. It’s a little different than my old camera but it’s still pretty easy to use. My old camera had issues, about two weeks ago the ability to auto-focus as well as the viewfinder simultaneously just gave out, both the camera and the lens were messed up (I have some theories on how this happened) but it would have been so costly to fix it just made more sense to buy a replacement.

I decided to take my Suzumiya DD out for some test photos with my new camera, plus to feature her holding my new electronic “toy” as my picture of the day for my 365 project.

165/365- Kannagi – Nagi Nendoroid

As I stated before I have been experiencing extreme camera difficulties lately, taking this photo was the final straw that spurred me to buy a new camera. I took me over an hour to get this shot, I took over 200 pictures and I just couldn’t deal with the frustration anymore.

The featured toy is a nendoroid of Nagi from Kannagi. She and Zange were two of the last nendoroids I bought before I went on a major figure buying hiatus. I love them both and think they are both adorable but I just don’t love figures the way I used to anymore especially with the rising prices I just haven’t been buying them as much anymore.

164/365- Dal Satti

I’m skipping ahead a day… Ever since Satti was announced, I had a definite plan of what I wanted to do with her. While everyone else scoffed at her outfit, the second I saw it I knew that it was obviously herbcut up  curtains and sheets that she had used to make herself a pirate costume. I decided that my Satti had been taken prisoner by pirates and was subsequently ransomed off, unfortunately she decided the pirate life was for her (after all who doesn’t want to be a pirate?).

I decided to name her Stockholm.

162/365- Catwoman Bust

I recently bought this Catwoman bust during my little Memorial Day road trip. I got her at ToyVault she was on sale because of the holiday (25% off) and I had, had my eye on her for quite a while. Catwoman tends to be my least favorite character out of Gotham City Sirens, I don’t really dislike her but I like Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy a lot more.  This bust comes from the third line of the Women of the DC Universe bust series, it is based on an illustration by Amanda Conner.

161/365- FLCL Canti

I love both the anime and manga of FLCL, there was unfortunately never very much merchandise  from it. Besides a few wall scrolls, a Haruka plush that was autographed by the Pillows (they sing the opening song of FLCL) all I really have is a Canti figure I got from Hot Topic years ago. In 2007 there were several different iterations in various paint jobs of this Canti figure released as limited exclusives this was the Hot Topic exclusive. I had saw this Canti around for a while, I really loved his paint job but I had not really wanted to pay $70 for him, fortunately he eventually went on clearance and I managed to get him during a take an additional 50% off sale so I may have paid all of $20 for him back in the day.

I realized that I had never taken photos of him so I decided to feature him as one of my pictures of the day.

160/365- Dal Kanta

Pullipstyle is currently moving across the country from Illinois to Arizona, in preparation for their big move they attempted to downsize their inventory a bit so they offered some fantastic deals on some of the less popular members of the Pullip family of dolls. I had been wanting Kanta for a long while and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to finally get my hands on her.

Kanta is actually quite cute but she isn’t very popular, I could only find a handful of owner photos of her. I hate it when I can’t find any owner photos of certain dolls, it was one of the major things that spurred me to collect all of the different Pullips; I loved them all but some of them I couldn’t find a single owner photo of (at the time) and it really bothered me so I always try and make the effort to take lots of pictures.

159/365- Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls

Due to my addiction to the hyper-cuteness of the new My Little Pony show, I decided to start searching for more of Lauren Faust’s artwork which led me to her deviant art page. I didn’t find much My Little Pony art but I discovered something else called Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls, when I saw a picture of Lauren Faust herself with the dolls it stirred a vague memory of having seen one of the very same dolls at my local ToysRUs. The dolls were originally a FAO Schwarz exclusive but FAO got bought out by TRU so now the dolls are also available through TRU as well. I immediately looked up the dolls online and saw that they were now on clearance at TRU for $20 each, I was just going to order Mars and maybe Milky Way initially but I realized that I would end up buying them all eventually anyway so I kind of ordered all of them. 159/365- Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls
I actually went to my local TRU the next day to hunt for more toys (ie. the MLP balloon I posted about a few days ago) and I was able to see most of the dolls in person (they were sold out of Venus). I was shocked by how large they were, I had saw the picture of Lauren Faust but somehow I did not really realize that they would in fact be dollfie sized (approximately 22 inches tall). I absolutely loved them and had a hard time not walking away with a Mars even though I knew I had one coming in the mail.No regrets whatsoever about ordering these, hell I’m still hoping the other dolls get produced eventually (especially the Sun <3).

158/365- Pukipuki Poseidon Arrival

My Pukipuki Poseidon is home. I managed to pay him off a bit early, I was able to obtain him via layaway through Denverdoll. Poseidon was made by Fairyland, he was one of two mer-pukipukis (the other was Loreley) that Fairyland recently rereleased  for a limited time.

I had been toying with the idea of getting an anthro bjd but was hesitant to try something so different from what I am used to, the rerelease of the mer-pukis seemed like perfect timing. Poseidon is a perfect balance between something old and something new for me; I know I already love Pukipukis but Poseidon is still something quite different and unique for me while not being something totally new.

157/365- Pullip Veritas

Last week, full-scale replicas of the Nina and the Pinta visited an extremely close port so we decided to go and check them out. Of course, with ships this close to home and all, I decided to bring along a pirate with me namely my Pullip Veritas.
157/365- RRRRR!
Pullip Veritas was released way back in November of 2007, I’ve had her pretty much since her release. I have a great fondness for pirates so of course, I couldn’t resist her.
