Anime related news- My latest batch of pinkies shipped from HLJ but they are coming SAL so they will be a while. I should actually be getting another invoice from them for my Todadora figure and a few outstanding preorders that I believe are out now in Japan.

I have a package that is preparing to ship via EMS that I am very anxious for it has five or six figures in it including my 1/6 Chara-ani Onegai Teacher figure that matches the towel I have hanging above my bed.

I have a ton of figures floating around in the mail now I wish they would start showing up I am getting a tad overwhelmed with new pullip arrivals showing up almost daily. I also need to come up with a top ten list of figure wants as I have officially cleared the last one or will have as soon as my stuff actually arrives.

I just realized that I haven’t actually preordered anything in like three days although I am kind of debating this figure

She’s cute, I have no idea what she is from and I have no desire for the other figure for the show but I really like her color and design.

Jolie & Jouet
Jouet arrived today, her traveling companion was immediately placed up for sale as I don’t need two Jolies. Shameless plug-if anyone is interested in a minty Jolie I am selling her for $85 shipped in the US.

I love Jouet she is just so damn cute, she is definitely my favorite dal. Limited status aside she has my favorite face up of all the dals, altogether she is just the cutest of the lot. The polar bear suit is just so much better made than Leprotto’s bunny suit too that it just isn’t funny. I kind of regret spending as much as I did on Leprotto but I have no regrets on how much I spent on Jouet even though there was only a $50 price difference. I bought a bunch of supplies today while I was out to make a nautical themed room for Jolie and Jouet to share.

My fourth Papin, Tangerine also arrived today no pictures of her yet as I spent most of today lining up a dal family shot only to realize about six hours later that Tweety was still sitting in one of the shelf top displays ^^; so now I have to reshoot the final shot in the morning. At least I hadn’t put all of the dals away quite yet.

I might be having another pullip meet either this weekend or next weekend with Nightfall and I am having one with Requiem .

State of the union

Animexing is still processing my order *twitch* I want my damn package of Suzumiya figures…

I made the mistake of watching the first episode of Tora Dora which resulted in a small order on HLJ last night. I bought the 1/10 scale wave version of the palm top tiger, they had the max factory version in stock as well but I felt the wave rendition portrayed her closer to the anime and *cough* neko ears. Then of course this morning a Chara-ani version of her is announced as well (still debating whether to preorder or not). I also ordered pinky street #6 as they had it in stock and well I don’t own it, plus it will make is so I have the complete run of at least the standard edition pinkies.

Speaking of pinkies I preordered the new series of pinkies 22-23-24 at HLJ last week, surprisingly when I checked last night the Sky Crawlers pinkies were up for preorder the last thing I had read via pinky news was that they were supposed to be Pizza Hut exclusives to be given away like prizes (think CC and her obsession with Cheese-kun ) so I was not anticipating them going up for preorder. Whatever they are cute and one is a boy so finally my Air Gear Agito will have some competition with the ladies.

I have a number of anime figures floating around either shipping or in the processing shipping hopefully they will start arriving soon although I don’t really have anywhere to put them quite yet.I further complicated things by buying more figures this morning including:
Dears- Chara-ani-Ren Figure
Melancholy of Suzumiya-Wave- Tsuruya-san and Kyon’s sister figures
Melancholy of Suzumiya- Max Factory-1/8- Ryoko Figure
Mirorama- Solid Theater- 1/7 Kaede Tsukimiya
I wasn’t really hunting any of them (except maybe the Ren figure) but I found them all for under $100 so I could not resist.

On the pullip front the Wizard of Oz pullip/taeyangs should be arriving later on today. Jouet and Jolie will be here tomorrow. I am not exactly sure when Bouquet, Vivien, and Winter Purezza will be showing up but they should be here within a week. Suiseiseki and Papin (Aspen) are taking their sweet time through international mail. I am getting a 5th Papin as the seller accepted my offer but she didn’t tell me her paypal email address yet so I can’t send payment. I am hopefully having another meet with Requiem soon.

Um yeah I think that is about it at the moment.

End of an era

Sometime in December of last year I decided that I was going to try and collect all the pullips/dals, I already had at least 40 at that point (with a few doubles). I contacted a few older/wiser collectors who already accomplished the then impossible goal in my eyes and they all told me that it took them around two years to get caught up with all the previous releases and then they just had to worry about exclusives and preorders of course (and this was back before dal was coming out every month).

I won the last two I needed today on ebay ironically the seller was one of my idols as she was the first person I ever seen/heard of that had actually collected them all. She decided to sell off her collection for whatever reason so now I am going to be the proud owner of her Vivien and Winter Purezza.

Thinking backI only ever had the intention of getting one pullip and that was Shinku then it was the Rozen Maiden set. I was doomed from the start though because as the day I received Shinku as a gift I ordered Suiseiseki. The damned Kirakishou prototype made me actually sign up on the forums to try and find information on her release. If not for her I probably wouldn’t have started considering other pullips and well it just escalated from there until now when I have them all. Luckily even though she was limited I managed to get for a very nice price.

I have come a long way since I started collecting, I wonder what I will do now….

Yukata

I have to admit I am a bit underwhelmed by the size, especially with how much I was charged for shipping I was expecting them to be a tad larger. I don’t really have any complaints about them other than size although I feel like Asuka is tad chunky not bad necessarily just different than how she is normally depicted in figure form. Not as noticeable here in the long shot…

but here in the closeup it is kind of noticeable.

I love beautifully sculpted Asuka’s hair is from pretty much all the angles but I think for once I actually prefer the Rei in this pair.

More rambling

First off I got three packages in the mail today, including the one from Hobbsearch. So my Vocaloid Miku figma, Melancholy of Suzumiya Yuki Bad Witch Figma and my Evangelion Yukata statue have all arrived but I was out pretty much all day and am now too exhausted to debox and photograph everything so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

The other two packages were Penelope (Chicca) and her wig which turned out to a tad small so she ended up stealing Sunshine’s old wig (seeing how Sunshine is in the process of being customized into Konata I don’t think she will care). I took her along with me to the park today for a photo op

of course I brought Clementine too… (this is officially my new favorite Clem photo I even set it as my background I like it that much).

On a semi-related note I bought a pro account on flickr today so in the future all new pictures of my anime collection and figures will be located here http://www.flickr.com/photos/pullip_junk/ I am still in the process of organizing the pullip photos that are currently there but by Monday or so I should have all of my newer anime shots there as well seeing how I have no upload limit now.

Before I drove all around the state today I did manage to track down Death Sensei for less than $50 shipped so I caved and bought her. On the one hand I feel a sense of accomplishment but on the other hand she was the last one on my top 10 list of anime figure desires so now I have to make a new list T_T.

Let's finish this…

I finally made the decision after pondering it for a good part of the night, last night when I could not sleep that I am going to complete my collection of pullips/dals now. I had already bought Jouet yesterday thus completing my dal collection but today I bought the Oz set and Bouquet. I have intentions of selling my free Jolie and the boys from Oz as I have no use them. The last two dolls I actively need are both up for auction on ebay and ending the day after tomorrow and I intend on winning both of them (and possibly Debut as I technically don’t own her). I’m also waiting to hear back about yet another Papin, I know I don’t need her as well I already have triplets with a quadruplet on the way but she is a good price and damn it I want seven Papins to be rewigged in fur wigs like the color kids from Rainbow Brite (it’s a bizarre goal but a goal nonetheless). So theoretically by Monday I could have as many as fourteen dolls actively in the mail making their way towards me.

More insanity

If all goes according to plan I could have as many as 14 pullips/taeyangs/dals all in the mail to me at the same time O_O as of right now there are actually ten in the mail and I am hoping to buy a maximum of four more this weekend. I am not going to keep all of the ones in the mail once they actually arrive I think the reason will become apparent once they actually arrive or if you peak at my profile.

I am pretty much done with pullips except the preorders every month so I gave myself an advance on my dolly allowance to go track down all the ones I still need with a little bit left over for an extra pullip or two. After this weekend I am supposedly not allowed to get anymore dolls besides the preorders (and Isolde) until next year. I was also only supposed to only ever get one pullip so we will see how well that goes lol.

I am so close right now to my goal of having them all, on the one hand I am estatic but on the other hand I have no idea what I am going to do once I have them all.

I have been pondering doing a custom but I don’t know of who or what for sure yet, I do know I don’t want to customize any of my current girls so I would have to get a bait. I do have a few ideas of what I want to do for customs but they are pretty insane most recently I have pondering a Harley Quinn with a Glascow grin which would be utterly gruesome, I have also been pondering making my own Beressa after seeing Requiem’s in the flesh at our last meet or maybe I will make a dark negative version of Leprotto.

If anyone on my friendslist wants first dibs on the Oz taeyangs or a NRFB Jolie let me know otherwise I intend on listing them pretty much as soon as they arrive on dolly market.

More madness

Anime Stuff- My Toyslogic order and my Hobby Search order shipped today. I caved and ordered two figures I have been wanting for a while Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny Kanu Unchou Figure by Alter and Brighter than the dawning blue Feena Fam Earthlight 1/6 Scale by Atelier Sai.

I am particularly excited by Feena as I have been wanting her ever since I seen her in Hawaii last year. I really wanted to buy her then but I only had two empty suitcases to accommodate my anime shopping on the trip and she would have taken up almost a whole suitcase. I really wished I had ordered the figures last week as they had the Peace@ Pieces figure I really wanted but she apparently sold out (I know a few other places that have her but this was the cheapest). I also ordered the other GSC Moetan figure I had not really actively been hunting it but I seen it cheap so I picked it up as well.

Doll Stuff- I went a little bit crazy today, I started by dropping dime and buying Jouet. I bought her from Valley of the dolls and I got Scot’s last one. I paid $825 shipped for her but he did throw in a free Jolie which I will more than likely end up selling because I already have one and I don’t think I like her enough to justify twins. Once Jouet gets here I will own all currently released dals. In one moment of absolute insanity I actually considered buying the Oz set as well today but decided against it for now seeing how I really just want Dorothy.

Then I went back to Hammen Home and blew almost $100 on re-ment and a pair of dal earrings. The earrings were handmade from bottle caps and are actually kind of cool, I ended up buying the Frara pair as she is one of my favorite dals and none of the pullip ones were not really appealing to me today (I was in a dal mood what can I say). I also bought five packages of 1/6 scale weapons ranging from rocket launchers to sniper rifles for the pullips today, what can I say I can’t resist a weaponized Papin. I did buy some customizing materials to play with as well, nothing major but something to keep me busy.

What's going on…

It’s payday and my bank account is already hemorrhaging. So while I wait for some charges to go through and everything to settle out before I continue to make payments and add to the chaos, I figured I would make a post about this current state of affairs.

Shockingly I checked Anime xing’s order confirmation on their site and it appears that they are finally shipping my order. I placed said order way back in June unfortunately for me it appears that two of my items went out of stock and I had to wait for restocks (even though they were listed as in stock). Anyway it was an all Suzumiya order so hopefully soon I will have a replacement for my 1/8 Max Factory Suzumiya (why there are no longer artfx light saber fights allowed in the house), the original Yuki figma, Yuki nendoroid and the Mikuru Nendoroid.

Hobby Search is currently in the process of shipping me a couple of figmas: Miku from Vocaloid (God I love that game) and Witch Yuki from Suzumiya as well as yet another statue from Evangelion. This Evangelion statue is done by Kurushima, limited to 1000 and features both Rei and Asuka.

I am absolutely stoked about the new Evangelion statue although I have no idea where in the geo front it is going to go and I don’t really have the room for another shelf down there.

HLJ has already shipped my Gundam 00 Sega Prizes and are in the process of shipping me my Sol International Yoko from Gurren Lagann. I love Yoko so I have a hard time resisting her figures but I hope this one overwhelms me in person as so far the prototype pictures are not really doing a whole lot for me.

I have a few things in the mail from CDJapan right now including the Lucky Star OVA but I can’t remember what the items are at the moment. I am still pretty pissed at CDJapan for screwing up my last order and sending me the wrong Queen’s Blade figure (I got Ari instead of Yumil), they said they are going to send me the correct one but it has been a month and still no sign of her shipping. Plus they never answered my email about what I am to do with Ari if she is mine to keep or if I have to send her back so she sits there unopened.

I have to pay my pullip preorders from pullipstyle still, I have Kirsche and Lipoca preordered this month and I am really looking forward to the both of them. I am so excited about Kirsche as she is so bright especially compared with last month’s release the monochrome Cinciallegra.

I also still have to pay a toyslogic invoice as soon as my account settles out later today, the order consists of three Lucky Star figmas, a Lucky Star puzzle and yet another Pleinair figure from Disgaea. I had a bunch of other stuff preordered but it all got delayed. Lots of delays recently all around one of my To Heart 2 figures and my new Onegai Teacher figure were both delayed in Japan so I guess I should not be surprised when there are delays at American stores although it is a bit concerning when over $500 in orders just slips to the end of the next month. I have faith in Toyslogic they are my favorite store after all I just get annoyed with the delays sometimes.
