Pullip ponderings
I had been in a kind of pullip funk, for the first time ever since I started collecting them in late March 2007. I think it was a combination of an overwhelming number of them overall (over 180 O_o) and the fact that I didn’t really care for many of the new releases (Kuroshitsuji/Neo Angelique) coupled with the entire Lala incident (I discovered how far I am willing to go to get a pullip and it scared me) kind of made me hesitate to get more. The fact that my dolls are in a state of utter chaos right now doesn’t help, I need to set them back up but because of their sheer numbers it is a bit of a daunting task not to mention the accessories T_T (I have three or four garbage bags full of doll clothes/furniture/ re-ment that currently need to be sorted and put away in their correct container).
Before today I hadn’t even logged in on any of the main pullip forums in a few weeks (I still checked in at Requiemart’s forum though). I had been trying to force myself back into pullips but the harder I pushed the more I lost interest in them, I even sent out a dal to be customized hoping that would spark interest again (even that failed although I do not regret because my custom idea still rocks). Oddly Littlest Pet Shop seems to be what brought me back into the fold so to speak. I was in the doll aisle about a week or so back looking for new doll clothes hoping something would spark my interest (nothing did T_T) I turned around and I seen a Littlest Pet Shop flamingo out of the corner of my eye. I adore flamingos so of course I caved and purchased immiedately. Littlest Pet Shop animals just seem to fit as pets for pullips really well as they both have overly large heads for such small bodies.
Valentine, the flamingo was adopted by Clementine (both of their names come from the song Revenga by System of a Down). Clementine is my favorite pullip so generally speaking I tend to spoil her even going to such great lengths as to reunite her with her “twin” sister (I originally bought Clem from a pullip collector in Isreal who had Papin twins- the other one was purchased by a girl in Canada and I bought her from her over a year later literally because she used to be her twin sister).
I have since decided all members of the rainbow mafia should have a pet that suits their personality..
This is not a good sign.. on the bright side, they have reignited my interest is pullips, I even bought myself a Mir today

Recent Acquisition- Macross Frontier- Ranka Lee- Banpresto
In my opinion, Ranka is the cutest of the three Banpresto Macross Frontier Frontier figures. She is also the smallest of the three of them. My love for Ranka Lee is only second to my love of Klan Klang.
Overall it is a pretty cute figure, I do find her pose to be a bit awkward. I think it is more the combination of the outfit and the pose that is somewhat unappealing to me, perhaps if she was in a different outfit the pose would not seem so out of place. It’s still a nice figure, I just feel like it could be better.

Recent Acquisition- Sheryl Nome- Banpresto
Sheryl is admittedly not one of my favorite characters in Macross Frontier. Klan Klang is my favorite, everyone else pales in comparison to her. I always preferred Ranka Lee over Sheryl in the great debate as to who the antagonist of the series- Alto Saotome should end up with. Even though she is not a favorite character of mine this is still a really nicely made figure.
I love the sense of movement in this figure, the way the fabric of her bow almost seems to blow in the wind is especially lovely. Her bow is kind of neat in of itself, as it has glitter on it. It feels like it was added on later in the manufacturing process but it is still kind of neat. Her sculpt in general is rather nice but if I have one complaint about these Macross Frontier Banpresto figures in general something about the faces tend to be a bit off.

Recent acquisition- Macross Frontier- Klan Klang
This is my favorite figure from my recent toyslogic haul, I ordered the entire set just to get Klan as I absolutely adore her.
Behold Klan Klang in all her massive Meltrandi glory. This figure continues to push the boundaries of the female form.. Her bust in particular pushes some boundaries possibly even of good tase. I think overall, I still prefer her in her micronized “klein” version. In her true Meltrandi form she dwarfs the other two figures from this line, even more horrifying is that she still does not appear to be to true scale even here.

Toyslogic package arrival
I loathe Fed Ex and lament the day that TL switched over to them versus UPS. UPS as well as the postal service have been extremely reliable and punctual (UPS @ 9:30-9:45 AM, USPS @ 1:30-1:45 PM). Fed Ex on the other hand doesn’t even ring the bell or have the courtesy to at least leave a pick up slip. They do not show up at any set time which makes them difficult to catch.. They didn’t ring the bell again today, they delivered to the rental office for our property so the property managed dispatched one of the handymen to deliver the package to me….

Getting Organized- Flickr Edition
I’m a bit under the weather past few days, since I can’t handle much activity at the moment I decided to start re-organizing my flickr account. This is fairly massive undertaking as I have over 4,000 images on flickr and I am going through and tagging and sorting them all. I hope to make things a bit more streamlined on my flickr account before I start working on building figure pages here. I will also have to update dozens of links >_< Once I finish with this hopefully tomorrow I will go back to photographing more figures/ dolls.
So until tomorrow I will leave you all with my most viewed photo on flickr, it’s Gundam 00 gashapon and I am not quite sure as to why it is so popular but it has had over 1500 views to date O_O

Dreaming again already?
Remember when I said in an earlier post that I was going to be conservative in July to make up for my indiscretion of buying another Dollfie Dream so soon? Well the conservative part might have been a bit ambitious but keeping with my desire to be less indulgent, I decided that I could not indulge without some sort of sacrifice. Blythe has become my sacrificial lamb.
I sold two of my blythes today (Goldie & Mondie), traded another (Ashletina) and have a fourth up for sale (Saffy). I now have almost $750 sitting in my paypal account from their sale as well as the sale of the dal Charlotte that I had just got early last week (she was an impulse that I really had no use for ^^; ). When the other blythe sells I will be up to almost $900 in my paypal account which should be enough to start dollfie hunting again. I am somewhat leaning towards getting a MDD as my next. I would really love to get Illya, as she as a doll is gorgeous and well I simply adore Illya’s character. I also love both of the Demon Bane MDDs so it will not be an easy decision. I have also considered getting two blank DDs with the money and getting them commissioned to be whoever I want (I guarantee if I go this route one will be Chii). I might also end up getting a standard sized DD of another character. I am still so early in the planning stages… I need to study owner photos of the DDs on my wishlist I think… I sometimes wish that there was a forum specifically for dollfie dreams, that way I wouldn’t be starved for more information/pictures the flickr group is nice but there is not a lot of discussion and I never quite understood Yahoo groups

Dollfies at the park
I took the dollfies to the park the other day and did a photoshoot with Rin and Estel. I know this shoot is old news to a few of you already having seen the pictures on my flickr for a few days now (heck I already posted a few pictures of Rin from this shoot a bit farther down the page) but bear with me.
Estel was the first dollfie that I photographed…
Estel is a lovely dollfie but I always have a hard time coming up with photo ideas for her.
This one was probably my favorite shot of Estel from the shoot.
I really love Estel’s eyes (ocular, not the ecchi variety).
Estel & Rin together before I packed up Estel again. For those wondering what I use to carry them around outside with me, I use a carry-on suitcase. I can fit two dollfies and a few smaller dolls comfortably. 
I rather like this shot even if it is a profile shot.
Once I figured out that Rin likes to climb trees it was on…
Much like Ryomou, Rin tends to be a bit of a camera whore.
I love how dynamic this shot is.

Caution- Photo thief trying to sell figures using my image
I have a pro account on flickr which lets me see activity on my account, like for example where people got directed to my photostream or photos. I looked this morning and I noticed I had gotten a fair amount of views on this photo

I was curious so I clicked on the link and it was what appeared to be a sales thread in Japanese. I have since contacted the creator of the thread and asked them to stop using in my photo but I have yet to receive a response. Please understand I have no idea who this person is and I did not give them permission to use my photo. I have no idea if they even have the figure so I recommend that you proceed with extreme caution. I have no idea how to register on the site if I did I would post a warning there ^^;
Edit: The person responsible has contacted me, removed the link and apologized.
