So I had kind of been told earlier this year that I could not attend Anime Boston, I was not exactly happy about this decision but I did abide by it. Oh, how I wish I could have attended…

The Tshirt design wasn’t as cool as previous year’s.

One thing, I didn’t miss were the crowds. I am not so keen on large groups of people. There is only one thing I hate more than crowds and that is to be touched by people I don’t know- two years ago when I attended I was very heavily pregnant with the zilla and everyone thought that it was the absolute height of fun to touch my pregnant belly umm yeah. It was my own private hell.

All I can think of when I think of conventions is how hard it is to move through a sea of people.

While there are some downright adorable cosplayers like Yoko here, most of the people I have seen cosplay weren’t that impressive.

Some people do go that extra mile and put a lot of work into their outfits but most of the ones I had seen in the past were poorly tailored/put together. This is probably one of the best cosplays I have seen in person anyway.

This one wasn’t a bad Yoko, I just didn’t like her as much as the other who just seemed to embody the character better.

Some people don’t even cosplay as anime characters, that always kind of confused me why a person would cosplay as a video game or comic character at an anime convention. Of course I am not one to ever complain about good Harley Quinn and Joker cosplayers especially when they come hand delivered.

One of the things I missed was combing the dealer’s room for cool and rare finds.

I also missed getting a chance to see what unique ways fans found ways of expressing their love for anime.

I especially like his Yoko tattoo.

I love it when I find something unique that I haven’t seen done before or at least to this extreme.
Personal shoppers, have many uses whether they uses be cosplayer wrangeler or actual shopping. The deal was that I simply not attend Anime Boston, so I missed out on the dealer’s room, the cosplayers and the panels maybe I will be able to attend next year *sigh*

I remember I was determined to go this year. But in the end I chickened out 🙂 one of the reasons being LARGE crowds. I get a bit frustrated when I can’t move around a room easily. The other one being I’d be taking my bf against his will, it’s hard to be open minded and have fun when the person next to you isn’t happy to be there.
Maybe next year 🙂
I’m still hoping to be able to attend next year, I think I have a better chance at it next year. At the very least Anime Conventions are very interesting people watching, this was Requiemart’s first Anime Con and she was very highly amused even though she isn’t really big into anime .
