Illya is apparently not meant to have a proper shoot until this weekend (and I have the Animadness meet to attend on Saturday :/) as I didn’t get out of work until late again today. I had the best of intentions, I had packed my camera and her in my bag and stowed them in the trunk, planning to stop on the way home for a photo shoot but things never quite turn out the way I plan. There was a change in plans this afternoon unfortunately but I did manage to take some pictures of her on my back steps when I got home. I was a bit hesitant to go out on my back steps again after my descent down them the last time but this time it was a lot less eventful.
I am having problems adjusting to handling MDD, she seems to be a lot floppier than my other dollfie dreams. I have still yet to get her to stand up completely on her own yet. I am sure I just need to work with it more but it was kind of frustrating while I was trying to take pictures.

Since you’ve changed your main focus from figures to Dolls (particularly Dollfies) has it been easier on your budget? Or is it about the same? Even though Dollfies have high pricepoints it seems like you’ve sacrificed many figures to get them.
Thanks ❤ Actually most of my money this month has gone to figures (I just had another package arrive today and I have another pending) and a custom pullip former zombuki Cheshire I will be picking up at the pullip meet this weekend. I did just buy another bjd via Yahoo Japan but only because it is limited and I wanted to get it before the price skyrocketed and I am working overtime three days next week to make up the expense.
I didn't buy Illya or the super dollfie I got earlier in the month, they were both gifts ^^;
AH! GIFTS! I wish I got gifts so perfectly suited to my tastes. I love all the gifts I get for Xmas and birthdays, but my hobby is just beyond what anyone giving me the gifts wants to mess with.
I had been promised I would be able to attend Anime Boston and Puddle (pullip con with an unfortunate name) this year (I was even prereged for Anime Boston) unfortunately some scheduling conflicts I am not entirely happy with popped up on both weekends. I was particularly sore about Anime Boston and I was pretty vocal on the subject. Basically I was mentioning it so much I was asked to make up a wish list with the understanding that one of the items on it would be purchased for me as long as I do not use the words anime, Boston or convention in the same sentence ever again.
Now to start working Puddle into conversations.. it did rain today.
Normally with family I have been asking for gift cards to denver doll as I buy a good portion of bjds through them and every $10 or $20 gift card adds up I was able to fully pay off a puki after this past Christmas. Unfortunately neither of the pullip stores sell gift cards. I used to get TL giftcards but after two got wasted (I used them to prepay purchases that never came in stock and was never issued a refund) I gave up on that particular plan of attack.
