Pullip Milk Latte

I feel like I should qualify this review although Milk Latte was an absolutely gorgeous doll, she wasn’t quite the right girl for me so I ended up rehoming her recently. This was in not anyway a negative reflection on her as a doll or the quality of the release, it was a matter of personal preference/taste I love bright colorful face ups and her face up was just a bit too brown for my taste.

Milk Latte was released way back in April of 2013 as the counterpart to Isul Milk Tea. Milk Latte had a MSRP of 12000 yen. I had been considering purchasing Milk Latte for quite some time but her price was $112 on Pullipstyle  and that was a little bit more than I would have liked to pay for her fortunately my patience was rewarded! Milk Latte was recently put in the special’s section of Pullipstyle for a mere $95 which was much more tolerable to my wallet. I ordered her alongside Clorinda way back in April but things are just now starting to calm down again so I can focus on writing more than just updates here.

Milk Latte definitely comes with one of the more elaborate stock outfits that AGA has produced recently. The outfit is mori style. She comes with the standard card and stand in addition to her stock outfit.

Quality of the wig? The wig was really nice quality and I loved the chestnut color. Normally I tend to dislike curly wigs as I always fear that I will somehow ruin them but Milk Latte’s wig was nice with just a slight bit of a curl.
Milk LatteI actually really like the style of her face up but I was not big on the overall coloring, her skintone was quite pale and somehow with the pale brown lips is made her look a bit sickly to me though I tend not to be a big fan of brown anyway. I really like the shape and the color of her eyebrows, I even really like her eye make up especially the little bit of a stylized cat eye they give her I just kept fixating on her lips and how much I disliked their color. Her eye chips are pretty nice and I do like the contrast of the blue eyes but I wish the color was a bit more vibrant.
Milk Latte Stock Milk Latte’s stock consists of a dress, corset, a skirt, panties, brown boots, a bow tie choker and a floral hair accessory. Color-wise the stock is a mix of off-white (or maybe even pale beige?) and white with some gold highlights. The quality of the stock outfit is really nice, it’s very detailed and I love all the ruffles especially the deconstructed ruffles on her skirt. I also love her bow tie/necklace which has a treble clef on it.
Milk Latte I really feel like Milk Latte would look marvelous playing a doll sized violin. She is such a classy and mature compared to some of the other Pullip models.
Milk LatteMilk Latte is a very natural and lovely girl.
Milk Latte I’m glad I took the chance on her and bought her even if she ended up not being the perfect girl for me. I don’t regret buying her, it was nice to get a chance to play with her for a little while and she had been on my wishlist for so long I know if I hadn’t bought her when I did it would only be a matter of time before I did end up buying her.
Milk Latte Milk Latte is available for purchase via Pullipstyle, where she is currently on special for $95! More photos of Milk Latte are available on my flickr.

  1. I have to agree with you about Milk Latte – I found the pale brown a little sickly, although her stock gorgeous! She didn’t stay with me long either.
