Chantilly came in the mail yesterday, she was delivered by crafty Fed Ex ninjas. There is some confusion about her name it is either Chantilly or Shanti or Chantal depending on who you are talking to, I was told Shanti means Chantilly in Japanese but I don’t know how accurate that is. Both US stores VOTD and Pullipstyle referred to her as Chantilly so I have decided to stick with using that for now. She is a limited, exclusive dal from this past year’s Doll Carnival and she is limited to only 300 . I was lucky enough to get her from Pullipstyle, I am not quite sure how they managed to get a few in stock this year but they had her a somewhat reasonable price. Originally, I was lucky enough to get pullipstyle to hold her for me until my paycheck came and while I was still waiting for my paycheck I was even more surprised when I got a shipping number. Apparently she is a late Christmas present.
Her name is Alabama, as previously stated she gets her name from the film True Romance. Due to my love of the film, I had been wanting to name a doll Alabama for a while and since the song “Chantilly Lace” plays during a love scene between the main characters Alabama and Clarence so I thought the name was rather fitting. I have to say Alabama is just about the cutest thing ever.
I have to say of all the pullips/dal releases she has the cutest shoes ever.

Pullipstyle is now sold out, I think they only got three in though (I know both me and a friend got ours from there). VOTD might get her in but Scot tends to be a bit of extortionist when it comes to prices on the limited dolls ^^; Yahoo Japan currently has her for fairly cheap probably around twice MSRP which isn’t bad compared to what previous year’s dolls have done.
Okay, I’ll be sure to check Yahoo Japan, what’s her MSRP by chance?
Offhand I think the same as the other Angelic Pretty’s so about $130 with yen conversion, auction fees etc you can probably get her for about $300 which is still a lot of money but not horrible when compared to the $825 I paid for Jouet (at least I got a free Jolie though)
