Dolly misbehavior

Somehow, someway HLJ actually restocked two blythes that had been listed as discontinued- Friendly Freckles (who I already own) and Ashletina (who was very high on my wishlist). I ended up caving and ordering Ashletina even though I really shouldn’t have.

I am potentially up to 14 blythes now:
Own- ADG- Roaring Red, Cancan Cat, Sunday Very Best, Rouge Noir, Friendly Freckles, Frosty Frock, Violetina, Custom Precocious’ Candy Mushroom and Heather Sky
In the Mail- Adorable Aubrey, Fruit Punch, Mondrian and the above mentioned Ashletina
Preorder- Sunshine Holiday- might end up canceling her.

These things are multiplying at an alarming rate.

Well I was going to say things have been quiet on the pullip front but low and behold I just ordered a little Froggy pullip ^^;

Jun Planning is no longer going to be distributing pullips, which actually sounds good to me quality might improve plus the original creator is getting more say on the designs.. judging from some of the designs I have seen on their blog I can’t wait ::prays the penguin dal actually gets released::.

I also commissioned Angelberries to make a small order of dresses and matching socks for a select few of my girls. One dress is especially for Azreal (my favorite pullip).. not entirely sure who the other dresses are going on just yet, I think the strawberry dress will go on Joyette and one of the other dresses will go on Mondie.

Desktop

Took a picture of my desktop last week..

My desktop is both static and chaotic, some figures are always being changed out while other tend to stay on my desk for quite some time.
Now for some explanations

left side
from right to left
-Mahoromatic- Mahoromatic is one of my favorite anime series plus this figure has a lot of sentimental value as it was sent to me from Akihabara from someone special. She always stays on my desk.
-Limit Gunz- Newer figure that really attracted my attention so I cleared space for her.
– Trigger Heart Exelica- Another new addition, I didn’t really have room for her on the nendoroid shelf unfortunately so instead of just tossing her back in her box I decided to keep her out.
-Macross Plus- Klein Klang- As soon as she was announced I knew she would claim a spot on my desk as I am freaking Klein.
-Full Metal Panic-Chidori- Not a permanent resident of my desk just waiting until her counterpart arrives before permanently shelving her.
– Saikano- Chise- One of two Saikano figures I normally keep on my desk, Saikano is another favorite show of mine that barely got any merchandise. The other figure came with the 1st pressing of the R2 dvds.
Nendoroids- In the pic Chu x Chu Idol- Melissa Seraphy & Demon Bane- Al Azif changes pretty frequently sometimes several times a day. Currently I have both versions of Seraphy.

On the right side from right to left we have
Pop Wonderland Alice figure- (blond haired figure in the blue and white dress) because she always makes me smile.
Pullip- There is always a pullip on my desk but which one changes pretty frequently. In this picture it is my second Souseiseki, Suzu cosplaying as Suzumiya but it has already changed to Kairi.
Lucky Star Tsukasa Mama Chapp- She’s really cute and I don’t have room for her on my Lucky Star shelf currently. She has sat here since she arrived.
Chobits- Sumomo Mug- I keep various small things in it plus I like to sit Tsukasa in it. It has been on my desk ever since I got it free at TokyoKid last summer.
Vocaloid- Miku Music Box – Honestly it’s cute and will send me into the giggles every time I wind it up so I like to keep it close by me.
Blythe- Currently it’s my Heather Sky before her it was my friendly freckles and she was the first. I haven’t been collecting blythe that long.
Shining Wind/Tears- Kureha (archer in yellow)- Just a gorgeous figure I really like and that would no longer fit on her assigned shelf so she got moved to my desk.
Pinky Street- Pucchi- Normally I have a couple pinkies on my desk hell up to a dozen would not be overly surprising but because I will be moving soon I packed up all of them into a great big box… I kind of missed them so I dug Puchhi back out.
Pleinair-San (blue haired bunny girl)- I love Nippon Ichi’s character designs so I always have a figure based off of one of his characters on my desk. Most of the time it is my Max Factory Etna but went with bunny Pleinair since it was close to Easter.

I acquired a Wonder Festival exclusive Saber recently, I had not meant to acquire this figure as the very idea of this figure always seemed pretty ludicrous to me but low and behold she came anyways. I must say she is growing on me and I like her a lot more than I expected.

Comics

Booksamillion order arrived yesterday was sorrowfully disappointed that Payback was not included in Heart of Hush as the Joker attacking someone with pigeons was something I just had to see and was basically the reason I bought it. Read the Red Hood story arc last actually enjoyed that more than I thought I would almost made up for my disappointment in Heart of Hush almost. Tried to read the Dark Knight Strikes again and was woefully confused until I realized hey Dark Knight Returns is still in my too read pile maybe I should read that first >_<

Ended up making a small order on Booksamillion last night
– Batman: Inferno
– Going Sane
– Gotham Central- Unresolved #3
– Lovers and Madmen
(I also ended up ordering a Blythe postcard book but that isn’t exactly related to comics :p)

Realized I left stuff off I wanted again but refused to make another order so soon again, I am in the process of making a shopping list of books I still want/need.

A honey of a bunny

My reason for going out today was to get some more photos of Kairi..

I went to the falls by my apartment, which I was a bit nervous about as there was still police tape around a section of it as someone was killed there a little over a month ago (it’s in a bad section of town).

Something of interest- A friend of mine has decided to part with her zombuki, Pon. Zombukis are a group of custom dolls made by Brigitte Coovert that are extremely unique, they combine the zombie and kabuki aesthetics. They are extremely popular and normally sell for anywhere from $650- $800 each. Zombukis have been featured in Haute Doll Magazine and have an exclusive event at Valley of the Dolls. Pon is the first of three Zombuki blythes you can see some pictures of her here at her gallery.

I have personally made a solemn vow to never own a zombuki and although this one is my personal favorite I can’t break that vow even for her.

Pinky Street

I haven’t forgotten my quest to collect all the pinky street but I haven’t been able to find any of the ones I still need up for sale lately or maybe I just haven’t been looking hard enough.

I finally got a copy of Kira Kira Pop Princess a while back recently started playing, it’s a lot more fun in English although it was not the hardest game to follow along with in Japanese.. Pucchi is still one of my favorite pinkies.

Taking flight

Why Gwendolyn? she is pretty and is interesting to shoot from different angles. Plus I felt I didn’t have enough pictures of her.

In memory of..

Kairi, my beloved pet bunny who recently passed away. I was really heartbroken when I lost her recently and was looking for someway to memorialize her and then I seen a custom bunny pullip up for sale and bought her.

She arrived today in the mail. I named her after Kairi… she is not truly like Kairi as Kairi while mainly white had gray spots but she still makes me happy. She originally came with a brown wig so I rewigged her in a white mohair I had hanging around.
