The March Preorders finally arrived..

Oddly the pullip release is my least favorite of the releases. I really love the dal even though their eye patch was a pain to actually get to stay on.

In other related news, I bought a 2nd Kirakishou and I have already rehomed her before she even arrived. She was ordered through a misunderstanding and I didn’t really want her (I wanted a 2nd Kira but not right now) so I am glad I was able to rehome her quickly. She is going to go live with Requiem and Dalvam is finally coming home. I also bought a 7th Papin from the same source so I can complete the rainbow. For those of you who don’t know Papin is my favorite pullip and I have had the secret ambition to own seven of her so I could have one rewigged in each color of the rainbow.

Also I seem to have lost track of how many Jun Planning dolls I own.. I am going to actually have to count them as I either have 179 or 184 but I am entirely sure which. It’s a stupid problem to have but a problem none the less.

Comics post

I started working my way through my books-a-million order last night, I read Lovers and Madmen and I was quite pleased with it. I also started reading Going Sane which I hope to finish tonight.. I was re-reading No Man’s Land before the BAM order arrived will probably pick it up again after I finish reading the other new ones.

I had almost completely forgotten that I had these two figures on the way from BBTS.
Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn is full of surprises she has two different colored eyes O_o one purple and one green, I was pretty sure her eyes were blue pretty universally in the comics so I am not exactly sure where that came from. Also she has a second face on the back of her hat.. it is a Joker face which frankly looks a bit grotesque especially when you actually use is as the face on the figure >_<

Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy turned out to be my favorite of the two, which surprised me as normally I love Harley Quinn. The attention to detail on the actual plant pieces stands in stark contrast to the simpleness of Ivy’s design.

On a somewhat related note I finally got the collector’s set of Killing Joke. I had always wanted it but when I finally decided okay I am going to buy a bunch of comics no one seemed to have it in stock so I bought the hardcover edition. Of course after I bought the hardcover every single store seemed to magically have it in stock so it really kind of vexed me, finally caved.

Joyette

Joyette returned home with me yesterday along with a wonderful new doll carry bag designed to fit pullips/ blythes. Joyette is a custom by Requiem and she is based off of the doll carnival exclusive dal Jouet. I had originally mentioned that a pullip Jouet would be super adorable the first time Requiem and I met and well the fates aligned she had a free weekend and I had a spare Hello Kitty…

Volks power..

To me these are kind of like giant 1/8 scale figmas except they break apart with an irritating ease..

I had seen these quite a while ago but although Asuka could be found somewhat easily, Rei proved somewhat harder to find. I decided I would wait until I could I find the set rather than risking having an orphan figure especially since I have such a disproportionate amount of Asuka to Rei figures as it is.

I had kind of forgotten just how odd the Rozen Maiden Customa P figures were, while they are flexible the joints are pretty obnoxious (although truthfully I don’t mind the joints that much) and the plug suits really do not help the matter. I still like them even if I am afraid to handle them as every time I do an arm pops off ^^;

In actuality my Frosty Frock is having a RIT Dye treatment to change her hair color. Both my Frosty Frock and my Violetina got new hair colors.. Frosty Frock went green and Violetina went purple.

Requiem also tried to teach me how to sew, I made this skirt on Joyette and I helped make a black and white skull and cross bone skirt as well.

Going to pieces…

This is quite possibly my new favorite anime figure picture that I have personally taken.

My Good Smile Company Hikaru from Peace @ Pieces arrived today. I had searched for her, for quite some time so I was very happy to finally add her to my collection especially since she was my current most wanted figure. She was the last 1/8 scale Peace @ Pieces figure I needed to complete my collection of Peace @ Pieces figures. I wonder why the good smile company figures were so much harder to find than their Alter counterparts? I realize that came out a little earlier than the Alter figures but still it seems disproportionally hard to find them.

More doll rantings..

Lots of new and exciting changes in the dolly world.. First off I decided yesterday to do away with the chaos and completely redesigned my computer nook to open up the space more in general and to be able to have all my doll stuff be better organized. I was up until four in the morning just moving furniture and getting my desktop working again. My computer desk is now directly in front of the window which means I have more light, can watch for the mailman and I can actually see my tv while I am working without resorting to using mirrors. It will take me a few days to reshelf everyone and then there shall be pictures of my newly designed work space.

Of course in the spirit of adding to the chaos I had a few more dolls arrive and I bought another one >_<

Quin
My Adorable Aubrey blythe named Quin arrived a few days ago. I was slightly disappointed with her as all her promo pictures showed her really having red hair and she is actually kind of strawberry blond. I might end up trading her with Requiem as she recently got a PWP to customize and PWP is much more of a true redhead. Alternatively I might give her a RIT dye tomorrow and try to make her hair a more desirable color. I am not sure what my fascination is with red haired blythes..

Little Kero arrived in the mail today ::dies from the cuteness:: she is even more adorable than I anticipated even for being an old style mini pullip (the new ones are much better by the way but also a lot more expensive).

I also purchased another bjd this morning ^^; she is a tiny and roughly the same size as a puki (I think she is slightly larger). She was an impulse purchase because the company that makes her was running a special so she was absolutely dirt cheap but I think in the long run I will still be happy with this purchase. I would hate for the Sugar Shack (the dollhouse I am making for the tinies) to only have one resident.

I am attending another doll meet at Requiem’s tomorrow, lots of stuff going on at it too. I am going to be receiving some additional sewing lessons and two of my blythes are getting their hair dyed (Frosty Frock is going green because green is my favorite color and her hair color is a bit too buttery for my tastes and my Violetina is getting a more attractive shade of violet). I am also bringing home Joyette permanently tomorrow and I am also bringing home Gogo for a visit .

Hot for Joker

I actually recently got asked a few questions about my Joker collection, I have not been collecting long but here is what I have so far..Sorry about the lighting it is in my bedroom and I like to sleep well into the morning/early afternoon so the windows are completely blocked off. I also have the Ame-comi Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy in the mail and three additional Hot Toy Joker figures.

I went to my local comic store and they actually had both issues of the Hush payback arc.. I snatched them up immediately unfortunately i didn’t have my list on me of the other issues I actually needed but those two were my main want at the moment.

Dreaming..of a doll with a sniper rifle..

Yoko has been preordered ^_^ She was preordered before she was fully revealed so I was a bit apprehensive about what the final design would be but I am very happy with how she turned out.

There was some discussion about possibly getting Nia as well but I am not entirely thrilled with Nia’s design (especially the eyes) so it was decided against at this time.. besides by not buying Nia I still might be able to get Illyavasal in the somewhat near future.
