Groove revealed further details about the release of the latest doll in the Sailor Moon x Pullip collaboration line Taeyang Tuxedo Mask via their blog last night. I think it’s very fitting that the details for the release of Sailor Moon’s true love were announced just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t heard already, Taeyang Tuxedo Mask is set for a March release in Japan (April in the US) and has a MSRP of 18000 yen.

Tuxedo Mask with his beloved Sailor Moon, I do have to say they are absolutely perfect for each other. I know, I’m definitely going to need a Taeyang Tuxedo Mask to go with my Pullip Sailor Moon!

I’m really curious how the mask stays on Tuxedo Mask as it doesn’t seem to be like previous masks like Pullip Harley Quinn’s or like glasses. It’ll be interesting to see how they managed to make his mask.

Even if you are not a fan of the Sailor Moon series, all you would have to do is remove his cape and you would have quite the handsome Taeyang in a tuxedo.

As usual, Bandai shop (the official shop for Sailor Moon stuff) has an exclusive item available only to those who preorder from them. This exclusive item this time around is a rose. In virtually every episode of Sailor Moon except Stars, Tuxedo Mask throws a rose to distract the bad guy whenever it looks like Sailor Moon may be defeated before she finally manages to defeat the villain of the day.
Honestly, I really feel like the standard release should come with the rose as it’s such an integral part to his character it’s kind of cheap for Groove not to include it ^^; .
On the bright side a miniature rose shouldn’t be that hard to replace.
