I’m skipping ahead a day to make up for lost time as well frankly, this past Friday ended up being an epic dolly day. I didn’t plan for the epic dolly day but these things have a way of happening. I stopped at ToysRUS on the way home from work to see if they had any of the new Monster High dolls in stock after failing to find any the previous day at Walmart or Target, they had a nice selection of the newer dolls so I ended up getting Dead Tired Ghoulia and Draculaura. While I had received Dal Pinocchio as a gift Thursday I was honestly not expecting anything else to show up for quite some time. Byul Leroy and Pullip Henri arrived earlier than anticipated from EntertainmentEarth and my Swiss Alps Ddung also arrived in the mail making for one epic dolly day.
I immediately broke out my new Monster High dolls for some pictures as I hadn’t gotten any new Monster High dolls in quite some time (I think maybe before Christmas?).
Of course, I couldn’t resist a puny photo featuring Ghoulia’s brain puffs.
More Monster High pictures behind the cut
My ideal plan had been to get Dead Tired Frankie and Draculaura, as I have both of their beds and then I would be able to display the dolls with their respective beds. While TRU did have both dolls in stock they only had one Frankie in stock and her face paint was horrible (eyes were misaligned, lips were off center) so I decided to get my favorite zombie doll instead, Ghoulia.
Draculaura is absolutely adorable, I love the polka dots on her pajamas and her slippers are too cute for words. I really like Draculaura’s face up, I think it may be my favorite out of all the Draculaura releases that I have so far (original line and Gloom Beach).
Ghoulia isn’t as dramatic as the original release, which I guess makes sense as she is supposed to be at a slumber party and who gets all made up to go to a slumber party. I like her understated face up and her pajamas, I’m surprised they were able to get away with the combination of the random red splotches (looks a bit like blood, maybe?) in addition to the brain puffs she comes with. She also comes with super adorable slippers, this time with glasses on them which to me is even more adorable because whoever heard of such a ridiculous thing slippers needing glasses >_<
Poor Draculaura, Ghoulia kept hogging all the brain puffs.
Draculaura is ready to go with her pillow and favorite blanket.
I know bats sleep upside down, what about vampires?
Ghoulia was very jealously guarding her brain puffs!
Ghoulia adjusting her glasses, so you can see her pretty face.
Ghoulia stretching out.
Time to say good night ghouls!
