Recent Acquistion- Gundam 00 Mileina Vashti by Banpresto

I am actually quite busy today so this will be short and sweet.

It’s Mileina Vashti of Gundam 00, I think this is my first second season figure from Gundam 00 I do have a number of season 1 girls though (Grace Feldt, Lee Sumuragi, Sierra Christina and a couple figures of Wang Lui Mei). All the ones I have are by Banpresto and I have to say that so far this is my least favorite one. She is cute don’t get me wrong but there are a few paint flaws on her and I am not a fan of the way her eyes are done.

Dollfie Day

I am kind of leaning more on a MDD- Illyavasal would be my ideal but either of the two Demon Bane MDDs (Al Azif & Etheldreda) would be glorious as well.

Couple of smaller packages

I had a whole flurry of packages this morning (UPS, Fed Ex and USPS O_O haven’t had that happen in a while) unfortunately not much of the stuff was anime related.

I must say of all my toyslogic packages this one was one of the better packaged ones, absolutely nothing was wrong with the order too everything was there and everything arrived in immaculate condition. Unboxing photos starting tomorrow.

Acquistion- Pullip-Papin (Lacy)

I have an addiction to the pullip release Papin. She is probably my favorite stock pullip, I was enamored with her that I eventually decided that I wanted seven of her so that I could have one rewigged in every color of the rainbow. A few months ago I accomplished this goal but it appears I was not quite through as my next long term project has started building the second arc of the rainbow….

Lacy formerly belonged to herroyaldemones and was a character in her picfic All the Constellations (which can be read here[info]hrd_atc

if interested). She has a custom mohair wig made by Requiem of Requiemart.

First Look- September Pullip

About a week after learning September’s dal and taeyang, the pullip has been officially announced. It’s another collaboration this time with the film Roman Holiday which of course begs the question of the lack of correlation between Roman Holiday and Kuroshitsuji. This is the 2nd pullip based on Audrey Hepburn which I must is one of the few real people who actually translate well into pullip, the first of course being Holly who was based upon Hepburn’s character in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

Princess Ann will come with two complete outfits. I am kind of excited about her but at the same time her wig really, really bothers me and she will more than likely have to rewigged posthaste after her arrival here.

I took the liberty of making a quick comparison picture of the two Audrey dolls, they do like different but also a bit similiar.. it makes me happy that they are somewhat different at least.

Recent Acquistion- Kodomo no Jikan 1/4 scale Rin figure by Freeing

I actually got this figure a little while ago but I didn’t open it until earlier this week due the rather unfortunate circumstance of it’s arrival. When she very first arrived I noticed that there was something wrong with her in the package but I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was wrong with her then I really started to look at the package… the tape had been tampered with previously and more disturbingly she was upside down in the package >_< So I got a previously opened or used figure from toyslogic ^^; I contacted TL but the only remedy they offered after almost a week without any response was to swap her out for another one with a damaged box. At that point I decided to give up and open her.

I am not really a fan of the show but I love Rin’s character design. I have the nendoroid and the 1/6 Max Factory Figure of her as well. 1/4 scale figures in general have become pretty popular after the success of the Suzumiya bunny girl figure set (seven characters from Melancholy of Suzumiya were released as 1/4 scale figures in bunny outfits). The 1/4 scale of Rin turned out wonderfully the sculpt is really nice on her especially her hair. Her clothing is real cloth, it might be removable but I am not a big fan of loli cast-off so I am not about to try to remove it.

I really love her cute expression.

Recent Build- Harley Quinn Lego Kit

So I have a backlog of kits I have not been building mainly Gundams (I have over 20 kits in my to build pile) but I also had a lego kit sitting around since Christmas that I hadn’t built yet. I used to really love Legos as a kid and still occassionally pick up a kit or two if it catches my eye. I got this kit as a gift this past Christmas because a friend of mine had noticed I already had and built the Joker kit and well I am addicted to Lego Batman so it is only fitting that I have Lego Batman kits 😛

It was a fun kit and it looks pretty nice when put together. I will add it to my comics display in the morning probably even take a new picture of the display tomorrow.

Tsuki-board Photo Contest

I decided to enter Tsuki board’s first photo contest, while I know I won’t win I figured I should at least put forth some type of effort. For those of you who don’t know I am on tsuki-board I just happen to share an account figure.tsuki-board.net/profile/St_Jimmy. The theme is music so I decided to use my Ryomou dollfie dream and a set of pullip headphones for my entry. I actually rather like the shot so if nothing else I got a cool picture out of it 😛 

 

 
 
Still hoping to get another dollfie dream next month, depends on who I can find and for what price though I might just end up with another gigantic box of anime stuff instead if no one I want is for sale.

Recent Acquistion- Marilinda

The last of the three blythes purchased in my last haul but by far my favorite. She is a Rosie Red with an added fringe (bangs). The fringe is a tad uneven but I think it adds to her spunky charm. I had intended to even them out but I am kind of partial to them now.

I named her Marilinda after Jeffrey Sebelia’s corresponding winning model on the third season of Project Runway, seriously the name stuck with me for that long waiting to find a doll to suit it and I think I finally found the doll. I hate to say it but this girl has pretty much unseated all of my other blythes and has become my favorite even over Daphne, my Friendly Freckles.

Acquistion- Illyavasal by Alter

I ❤ Illya. Illya has always been my favorite Fate Stay/Night character. I really wish there were more figures of her (I want the dollfie dream of her wicked bad- hopefully soon). I recently acquired this Alter figure of her. I had been wanting her for a while, I had even previously purchased her but unfortunately she appears to have been swallowed up by the post (my one SAL package that never arrived).
Illya was made by Alter, she is 1/6th and she was released way back in 2007. I think she is absolutely adorable, just looking at her makes me smile. I love everything about this figure, it is somewhat surprizing that she is the one of the set that was somewhat easily still found (Rin was hard to find, a non-bootleg Saber was somewhat hard to find).

I am seriously running out of room on my Fate Stay/ Night shelf ^^;
