I’m not dead, I just haven’t felt much like writing recently although I have been making some changes behind the scenes here… Anyway, December’s pullip releases were announced yesterday. We’ve had pirates for a while but now we finally have ninjas!


Pullip- Akoya

Akoya’s wig is a bit strange to me, I am delighted to see another purple haired girl but the white/lighter streaks placement is a bit odd.

Her face up is somewhat reminiscent of Fanatica’s and Mir’s, it is very dramatic. Overall I really like her but I feel the ninja outfit is a bit underwhelming it just doesn’t seem that stealthy and ninja-like to me maybe it is the subtle coloring of her outfit…
Dal- Katoya

Honestly out of this trio, I am the most excited about the dal. Most dals are unearthly pale and she seems to be pretty tan maybe even as dark as Ala, I love seeing a variety of skintones versus different variations on paler than white. Actually her face up in general leads me to believe she would be an excellent littler sister to Ala.

I love her two-toned wig, kind of bored with the red eyes on dal as they seem to be doing that a lot more lately. Her ninja outfit is a lot more stealthy than pullips louder than life ninja outfit and it just seems a lot better put together.
Taeyang Arashi

Note- having no eyebrows makes you look sneakier. I have no idea why he doesn’t have eyebrows but it kind of bothers me, I have blythes and pullip Bouquet who are also lacking eyebrows but it doesn’t bother me, on him it is driving me nutty. It just seems lazy to me ^^;

Besides not having eyebrows, he is actually pretty nice. His ninja outfit is suitably stealthy, he has a interesting type of wig and his eyes are even pretty unique looking. Not sure if I will eventually get him or not yet.
Princess Rose

Princess Rose seems a bit drained to me and reminds me a bit too much of Queen of Hearts.
Princess Tulip

I tend to prefer the little dals over the little pullips and I could see myself faltering and getting the elegent Princess Tulip eventually.
