A package came last week, it was rather large and I had no idea what was in it. I was told not to open the package until Valentine’s Day which was yesterday. The package was here almost a week, I don’t think I can adequately put into words how much the very presence of this unknown package drove me mad as I literally had no idea what was in it, anything could have been it the package was huge and fairly heavy.. it could be dolls, comics, figures, hello kitty stuff.. just about anything.
So what was in the box, you ask? An unexpected surprise of epic proportions ~ desu
I was floored when I opened the box and realized it was Suiseiseki, I never expected to receive her as a gift in my wildest dreams. I honestly never even thought she was what was hiding in the box all that time. I was just utterly speechless when I seen her, there is just no way to describe the emotion it was like pure joy.
Hina has always been my favorite Rozen Maiden character but Suiseiseki has always been the character I most identified with. I had never expected to get the Volks Hina Ichigo but now I have her as well as the Volks Suiseiseki. She is so precious, I am literally almost afraid to photograph her I am slightly scared to touch her knowing how much she cost and how irreplaceable she would be if something was to happen to her. She is just utterly gorgeous though, I so very badly want to take more pictures of her so expect a flood of photos of her soon.

I was not sure how her eyes would be in person but they are actually pretty lovely. My sweetheart bought her for me I am not entirely sure where he found her though, he is pretty handy with finding the most unlikely things sometimes. She can still be found but the Yahoo Japan prices are very high almost twice her MSRP which was already pretty high and that is before auction fees etc.

Did Volks do all the Rozen Maiden girls?
Volks did Shinku, the twins (Suiseiseki & Souseiseki), Suigintou and Hina Ichigo so basically all of the 1st season characters.
The original MSRP for Hina (she is a Yo-SD so considerably smaller than the others) was around $500 while the others were around $900, their prices have gone up exponentially since then. The cheapest I had seen either of the twins currently was around $2k (after conversion) with Suigintou and Shinku going for almost twice that (well more than twice that for Shinku).
I bought a second Yo-SD to eventually make in to a Kanaria after I had given up on actually buying Suiseiseki myself, was not expecting to get her for Valentine’s Day.
