I kind of had a bad day yesterday, so I didn’t actually get my 365 photo until very late. I chose my newly arrived Asuka figure of Neon Genesis Evangelion by Sega Prize. After seeing the Uplark version of Rei on a store shelf over the weekend at Animadness I was kind of unimpressed with the figure itself, the entry plug was amazing but Rei herself was kind of underwhelming. I was kind of worried about my then unopened seat of soul Sega Prize’s and their quality. Both of them are actually pretty good quality, I actually prefer the Rei figure itself over the Uplark version. I am primarily an Asuka fan though so I chose to use her as my picture of the day.
She’s not a bad little figure, if I had to guess at scale I would say 1:10 or 1:12 but the details on her are all pretty solid.

I would totally recommend and you really can’t beat the price on it either, I think it was 1500 yen. I am actually a huge Asuka fan I probably have twice as many figures of her as any other anime character ^^;
As to why I don’t have the DD of her already, I want to buy her and Rei together.
I may have to get these now. I was worried about the quality, sometimes it’s hard to tell if I want to pre-order something just from the sketches SEGA puts out initially.
The quality is really good, I was pretty happily surprised especially since I had seen the UpLark Rei in a store over the weekend and she looked horrid. As soon as I got home I opened Rei and Asuka up and was pleasantly surprised that they were both pretty decent little figures.
