Mikuru is my favorite character in Melancholy of Suzumiya, I just utterly adore her especially in her waitress uniform. I seen this cutie go up for sale on one of the Japanese doll sites I frequent and was utterly perplexed because I had not seen it before, I knew there was an Azone of her but I also knew that one came with the school uniform. I threw caution to the wind and purchased her even though I didn’t really know anything about her. Well she arrived today and I love her.

Doll Musings..

Lots of ground to cover…

I am going through a bit of separation anxiety at the moment as I left my first blythe with someone I know. The person I left with her is going to ask around various sources if they have a such a doll in order to hopefully flush me out a cheap kenner. I know it is probably wishful thinking on my part but I have the devil’s luck and if anyone is going to find one it will be me.

Real pictures were finally posted of the March prima-dollies today. Here’s the two I preordered in their finished forms.

Heather Sky- I absolutely love, love her I am just HLJ actually comes through with my preorder as when I checked it in the system this morning she is listed as a future release.

Adorable Aubrey- Glad I put in a placeholder for her, I find myself really drawn to the redheads.

Pullip
I might be having another small pullip meet on Thursday with Requiem as she will be in the area on business.

Here are some of my latest additions… I am somewhat scared to admit I am now up to 174 full-sized ^^;

Angry- I named mine Vodka Shot. She is another H.naoto collab so her stock is really well made plus she herself is as cute as a button.

Andrew- I originally got Andrew for two reasons.. one so my Craziia, Tira could have a mate and two the mountain of lol moments he would provide as my best friend’s name is Andrew and he even kind of looks like him. My best friend and I split up last week, I know we will never speak to each other again so I was kind of anxious about Andrew the taeyang’s fate. I actually considered selling him but it was suggested that I debox him and give him a shot, I renamed him (Collin) and the issue ceased to bother me. For those curious he is not a true scot as he wearing boxer-briefs under his kilt 😮

Kaela- Mackenzie- Not my favorite pullip release but I liked her a lot more than I thought I would at least.

Uncanricky- Tragedy- I don’t have an updated picture of her but I have already rewigged and redressed her.

Rider

Eh I was really excited for this figure but it really disappointed me.

Here it doesn’t look so bad, but the black and white covered up the horribly mismatched paint in her hair.

Such a shame because this figure had a lot of potential.

Gwendolyn

While I am not familiar with Odin Sphere I had to have this figure as it looked absolutely gorgeous. Another figure from Alter that did not disappoint me.

The level of detail on this figure is superb.

The box she came in was huge because she already came mostly assembled, I think the only thing I had to do was put the spear on.

Seeing Red

Alter very rarely disappoints me. This Rin is no exception.

This might just be my favorite Rin figure, either this one or Magical Girl Rin. It’s odd I can’t stand her character but I like her in figure form.

I don’t have any complaints about this figure whatsoever, I just love it so much in fact I ordered the corresponding Saber to go with it.

I <3 Meer

I know she is crazy and psychotic but something about her I just love. I thought I already owned this figure but when I was rearranging shelves I noticed I did not so I ordered it posthaste. She’s by megahouse and their figures are always kind of hit or miss for me.

She kind of disappoints me for two reasons: one her eyes really bother me and two the seam under her bust. The seam under her bust I understand because her skirt is removable but they should have done something to hide it a little better in my opinion.

On the bright side at least I have now finished the set and I managed to find all three under MSRP… come to think of it all three of their costs combined was equal to one at regular MSRP.

Long awaited Saber Figure

I finally acquired the Good Smile Company Saber I had been wanting. I had originally preordered the re-release of this figure on toyslogic. It had a release date of 12/2007 and as it was delayed from month to month I was somewhat dreading that I would not be able to get this one. Then I seen it pop up for 3000 yen somewhere so I snatched up immediately and canceled my preorder on toyslogic.

The only complaints I have about her is her eyes look a tad crazed and because of her awesome pose she is actually kind of hard to display because she takes up a lot of room for such a small figure.

I love the sense of movement and flow from this figure.

All in all, I am very happy with this figure. I am glad I was eventually able to get it.

Meg's considerable assets ^^;

Bet that got your attention. Admittedly I picked up this Meg figure because I found her dirt cheap (I think I paid 1000 yen for her) but I was pleasantly surprised just how lovely she was in person. I still want the Alter Meg eventually but this figure actually makes me reasonably happy.

Pastel Ink

I really like this series but some of the figures kind of walk a fine line. I love the cute figures but I am not so fond of the less demure ones. I do not care for the CM one’s pose and I really do not like the Hobby Japan limited one, the fact that is cast off honestly repulses me. I don’t really have an issue with nudity and I own several cast-off figures but the loli cast-off figures generally don’t appeal to me.

To be honest I bought this one for pretty cheap mainly because I wanted the base for the nendoroid’s eventual use. The figure itself turned out to be a lot cuter than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised.
