This Mizuho figure was such a delight after my last one. I feel this figure is pretty faithful to Mizu’s character design.
I need something 1/6 for her to water… thinking a 1/6 Vespa so my dolls can steal it occasionally.
Technical stuff.. she’s great seams are all very well done, paintjob is nice, sculpt is fantastic and it is rather sexy without being vulgar.
I have always disliked his figures, I have disliked them from day one… I even received Non-Non by accident from a store and well I could have kept quiet and kept it in place of the much cheaper Nono Bome I had ordered, I could not get that sucker back to them fast enough. Don’t get me wrong I love the sculpt he does on the bodies but I hate the face sculpts.
I tried to give him a chance… I love dead or alive and when I seen that Sega Prize was releasing figures by him I was hesitant but Ayane is my absolute favorite character and since they were only Sega Prizes and therefore not expensive I figured what the hell.
On the one hand, I was disappointed because I didn’t really care for them on the other hand it didn’t really surprise me. I really wanted to like them…
Ayane – She is the better one of the two and from the neck down she is delightful but that face >_<
Kasumi- Kasumi is just a train wreck. One can not look away from the horrors.
Needless to say I keep these two at the very back of my DOA shelf where they are hidden by the Kotobukiya DOA figures…
What spurred me to make this hate filled post you ask… The most epic quote ever ” Shunya Yamashita is to anime figures as Uwe Boll is to movies” by another non-Shunya fan.
Remember this entry? I preordered Heather Sky and Adorable Audrey from HLJ. Heather Sky was very much anticipated as their are very few blythes with darker skintones so the blythe community was really excited about her and lost of people preordered her… Fast forward to last week when they get her in stock and sell out before they are able to fulfill all of the preorders including mine. Ebay prices were already well over double her MSRP. I had almost given up hope until I realized Thisisblythe had not gotten theirs in stock yet so I camped on their site until they came in stock. Thisisblythe is only in New York so she actually arrived yesterday but spent the night at the rental office.
I took her out and about with me today for some pictures..

I know so soon but she was my exception…. I did it, I finally managed to get Heather Sky 
I really wanted to name her Disco but I already have a Daphne >_< I can not have two D names otherwise my control mechanism to keep the blythe numbers down fails (at most I can have one for every letter of the alphabet and each one is to be named after a different letter of the alphabet). The name Jackie Brown was finally decided upon as well I love Tarantino films.
A long while ago I became fascinated with figures from Peace @ Pieces, I was not able to put my finger on what was drawing me to them though I was even more confused when I searched and found it was an eroge game @_@. Although ironically it lead to me being able to pinpoint my attraction as I realized all of the character designs were by Noizi Ito (Shakugan no Shana, Melancholy of Suzumiya and my personal favorite Nanatsuiro Drops).
There were five full-sized figures from the show, released by two different companies: Good Smile Company and Alter. Alter released a figures of Hikaru, Nagi and Death-sensei all in their death costumes (I am guessing it is somethinglike a power up).
Here are the Alter figures… 
Nagi was the second alter figure released but she was that really grabbed my attention, I mean the figure is really well done but extremely bizarre her clothes are weird not to mention that it barely covers the vital bits, she has a strange head piece and I have no idea to this day what the hell it is she is supposed to be sitting on. I debated about getting her for a long time because she is just so bizarre but I really don’t regret my decision.
Hikaru- This one is probably the cutest of the three. I got her soon after getting Nagi and she is a favorite figure of mine. Luckily I was able to track this one down without that much of a hassle.
Death-sensei – I decided I wanted this figure a bit too late, all her preorders had filled up so I figured I would get her upon release and then kind of forgot about her again. I decided I did in fact want her but at that point she was sold out almost everywhere, I ordered her and some other things at one store but they sold out of her (still charged me though >_< ) but I was finally able to acquire her.
Good Smile Company-While Alter released the girls in their death costumes, Good Smile Company released them in their school uniforms.
Nagi- One of my favorite Good Smile Company figures, it is perfect in it’s simplicity. All the details are flawless and the hair is exceptionally well done. This figure is pretty sought after I lucked into one for cheap because she had a damaged box (one corner had the slightest crinkle).
Which brings me to why I made this post to begin with. I finally managed to track down my current most wanted anime figure and she was the last one I didn’t own. I have been looking for this figure for a little over a year so I am very happy I managed to finally get her, I had spotted her for sale a few times on different auction sites but she always disappeared within seconds of going up. Yesterday I lucked in to her. 
This post is slightly overdue as I got two lovely new girls for my birthday and someone bought me a BL yesterday.
First the birthday girls…
Vilette is a Prima Dolly Violentina, although I love purple I always have a devil of a time dressing purple haired girls so although I like her a lot I am having a hard time finding outfits that work on her.
Tutti Fruity is a Frosty Frock. Frosty Frock is really similar to Saffy, Saffy was really high on my wants list so I was initially a bit disappointed with her but I tried a wig on her and fell in love immediately. Eventually I still want a Saffy :p
And in late breaking news… I am getting a Mondrian..
She is one of the first neo blythes from way back in 2001. I found her fairly cheap (considering her normal price, she is still my most expensive blythe) while on the prowl for Heather Sky. I am hopefully done with blythes for a while besides possibly acquiring Heather Sky….
This is seriously one of my favorite figures, I have a great fondness for Alice in Wonderland the story but this figure is seriously the cutest Alice ever. She was made as a collaboration between Alter and Happinet early last year. She sold out for the most part in the preorder stage so I feel lucky that I was able to get her, as it is not uncommon for her to go quickly at twice her MSRP. There was a Little Red Riding Hood figure released in this line too unforunately she was not nearly as popular and normally goes for quite cheap. 
Remember that custom I mentioned that Requiem was making for me earlier in the week ? Well she is done already…

We had been discussing the possibility of a Jouet pullip off and on since October…. so it is exciting to finally see her fully realized. So happy right now.

Fate Stay/Night- Rin- Clayz- I was forced to expand my fate display space so I now I have room for some fate figures I wanted but didn’t have the room for.
Fate Stay/Night- Saber- Alter Wonderfest Exclusive- Now this one is kind of funny because I was looking for it for someone else of course I made the mistake of deciding I needed a drink at that moment.. When I got back with my beverage in hand I had curiously won with the BIN, I was perplexed until I hear from across the room “great find” ::is still slightly annoyed:: .

Pullips-
Had yet another meet with Requiem today, she brought along her newest doll creation, she has also gone to the dark side as this is her first custom blythe… technically it’s not cheating because it is a custom of a pullip.

I am getting another Requiem custom ^^; I have been wanting a pullip version of my favorite dal Jouet for some time, I had the perfect base pullip at the ready and Requiem has this weekend free so the pieces just seemed to fall together lol.
I also bought a custom pullip today :O
Now the funny thing about her is I bought her because she was cute and a bunny. After further examination it was determined that she was in fact a Paja pullip at some point and that it appears someone just painted over the original face up so when she arrives I will have to decide whether to keep her as a custom or to have a true second Paja.
Blythe- Adorable Aubrey shipped unfortunately it appears as though my Heather Sky preorder will not be fulfilled damn HLJ.
