I took my darling little Hina Ichigo out to see the cherry blossoms earlier in the week. The local cherry blossom trees are just now starting to bloom.
Hina Ichigo is one of my favorite anime characters so her bjd had been one of my grails. I honestly never thought I would be able to get her but I managed to get her way back in August of 2009. She was my first Volks bjd.
Although I love my other bjds dearly, Hina Ichigo is the most precious to me. I try not to take her outside too often but with the cherry blossoms in bloom I could not resist an outing.
Without Rozen Maiden, I doubt my interest in anime would have been rekindled since Hina Ichigo was my favorite character she will hold a very special place in my heart.

I remember when you first got her, I was so excited that you got one of your highest grails. Actually is she the hardest grail to acquire to date? Interpret “hardest” however you want, money vs. effort.
Hina Ichigo was a turning point for me I think, before her while I did buy a lot of dolls I had very strict limits on what I would spend per doll but that kind of went out the window. She was a complete and utter splurge for me. She was around $650 which isn’t really that bad, I’ve paid more for the dollfie dreams in many cases (Saber Lily was the most expensive at $1k). I think my Suiseiseki SD was around $1500 but she mostly a gift. I try to maintain a balance whenever something really expensive comes in I try to rehome some of the lesser dolls to make room.
