Anyone that has read this blog for a while probably knows I am a bit fixated on the Joker, I absolutely loved him as a kid in the comics and on the animated tv series but I had stopped reading comics pretty much entirely until I was dragged along to see Dark Knight and it reignited the old Joker love in me. I have been hooked on the Joker ever since, I can’t enough of reading all the comics, playing Arkham Asylum/ Lego Batman, watching Dark Knight and the old animated tv series. I finally got around to deboxing my Deluxe Hot Toys Joker, that I got for Christmas today. He is fantastic, the sculpt the detailing I just couldn’t have asked for more. This figure also debuted Hot Toy’s new PERS system “Parallel Eyeball Rolling System” which basically means he has a tiny eye mechanism and that the direction his eyes looks in can be manipulated.
The packaging on him was superb, he and all his accessories were arranged in various layers in the box. The amount of accessories included with him was insane, there were even to scale safety pins intended for the grenade rig in his jacket. I was so impressed with the new PERS system that I actually harvested my original Hot Toy’s Joker body so I could display him in both his police disguise as well as his deluxe version. I am kind of torn as to whether I should buy a blank Hot Toys body and permanently have all four different versions on display or if I should do as I originally intended and put aside the spare Joker outfit for an eventual custom namu/taeyang Joker.

I find the Joker dressed up as the police officer so much creepier for some reason 🙂 but they’re both creepy in a good way that fits him.
I couldn’t get over how detailed both of the heads actually were, when I was reviewing the pictures with my viewfinder on the camera they actually looked like a real person. The Hot Toys are well worth the money. The normal Joker head is more freaky to me as he has an eye mechanism and some of the ways his eyes can be rotated are rather demonic looking ^^;
