Gothic Lolita

My eagerly anticipated Gothic Lolita Rei showed up this afternoon in the mail. I am very pleased with how she turned out.
Gothic Lolita Rei
I was so stoked to be able to put her with my Asuka that I have actually had for quite a while, something like three years.

It’s kind of funny that she arrived today because I just bought a different version of Gothic Lolita Asuka earlier this morning. The illustration of Gothic Lolita Asuka is literally my favorite from Evangelion so I could not resist a second version, and no I am not talking about the repaint. The other version is resin and is only 1/10 scale but is incredibly detailed.

Oh Hina they look beautiful! I’m so happy I ordered the Gothica/Lolita Rei, I had doubts about if I’d really like her in real life but your pictures have assured me that I’ll love her. I’m catching that Asuka on the re-release, but I switched my pre-order to the US Kotobukiya version so I imagine it will be QUITE a while before I get mine.

I think I now have a gothic/lolita figure fetish. I can’t seem to resist any figures dressed like this these days.

Thanks 😀 I had initially not been planning to preorder this Rei as I am not really a Rei fan but this figure really surprised me with it’s quality when it arrived.

I was going to do a US schedule preorder but I had a store credit on a Japanese site so I ended up ordering her there, plus I am getting a little worried of all these heavy delays at TL. I mean I love them but I have had a figure delayed for a year now.

I love gothic lolita clothing I think it is what attracts me to the pullips in a way because a lot of them come in lolita clothing and if they don’t I can make it for them (although all the stuff I have made recently has been punk).
