Wicked

Not really the post I meant to do for today but my camera spent most of the day hiding. Then once I actually found it the batteries died after the first photo project I did which happened to be more pullips.

I had literally just finished reading Wicked the day before I spotted this on ebay. I had really enjoyed the book so it really peaked my interest. I suspected that it was a Requiemart custom ( http://www.requiemart.com) but I wasn’t positive. I ended up putting a low bid on her and no one bid against me so I won. I was even more surprised by how cheap I got her when I spoke to Requiem and she told me how much the seller had actually paid for her in the first place O_O .
Elphaba Custom Pullip
Elphaba was originally a Rovam pullip she now has a full body repaint, padded out body and a custom face up/wig. It seems odd in hindsight to choose to customize a Rovam as she is quite pricey now but back when the custom was done she was still widely available and cheap.

The full body repaint is pretty much flawless, she does have a small chip on her nose which I could have fixed but it is so tiny I am not even that worried about it. The paint is very smooth and the coloring is consistant and unlike Jun Planning Requiem actually took the time to paint the parts of Elphaba covered by her clothing. I wish the seller had included the stock Requiem had made but she did gave me an approximation of it, I still need to make a cape I suppose. I really love because she just stands out so much and is very unique.

Twin Shot
Here is a side by side shot of Elphaba and a stock Rovam (my Roxie) to illustrate how far Requiem took Elphaba.
