At first I tried to ignore this phenomenon as I was not terribly enthralled with the idea of posting a picture of myself online but eventually I gave in once I found a loophole that is..

1. I love playing video games (Halo, Oblivion, Arkham Asylum, etc.) and reading comics, plus I essentially live in a toy store what with all the toys everywhere. Sometimes I really feel like I am living the dream of a twelve year old boy X_X

2. My music taste is fairly eclectic. I love Green Day, Eminem, Everclear, My Chemical Romance, System of a Down etc…. but I also listen to everything from classical music to Alice Cooper the only thing I won’t listen to is country music.

3. My favorite colors are green and orange. My current car is orange and nicknamed Pumpkin, I jokingly nicknamed it but now virtually all my friends/family refer to my car as the Pumpkin.

4. I originally had no interest in the reboot of the Batman franchise, I had loved the Batman animated series with a passion when I was younger but I hadn’t really given it much thought since then…Unfortunately being dragged to go see Dark Knight in theaters had the unintended consequence of opening up the floodgates. I ended up going to see Dark Knight in theaters like twelve times (in my defense, I was also heavily pregnant at the time and had taken some time off of work so it wasn’t like I had much else to do at the time). I never really cared for Batman per say but I always loved the villains especially Joker and Harley Quinn.

5.I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies and have no interest in remedying that anytime soon, even though people have attempted to bribe me to do so in the past. I also have no interest in Star Trek, hell Sci-fi stuff in general doesn’t really interest me although I love Futurama and Invader Zim- go figure .

6. I am rather petite, I am only 4’10.

7. I just recently started watching lost like a week and a half ago… I’m about halfway through season 4. The finale was last night, I tried to watch it with my limited frame of reference I am now a bit perplexed.

8. I love BAD horror movies, I like horror films in general but I love the horribly made ones even better for the sheer hilarity. Stuff where people just randomly disappear and no one seems to notice/care and even the dog even has a flashback. The more incoherant the better, bonus points if it is horrendous dub of a film that was already terrible in it’s original language. Zombie Strippers is a real favorite of mine.

9. I don’t watch as much anime as I used to, I just don’t care for a lot of the newer shows. When I do watch anime these days I tend to go for slightly older stuff.

10. I have one child, a daughter nicknamed zilla she is almost two years old now. She is my little ball of sunshine, she is always happy and bubbly but she is also fearless and can be very cunning at times (if you put her in front of the computer the results are shocking!).

68/365- A/V Set up

Since everything is hooked back up again in the “new” living room aka. my old dining room (what was my living room is now my doll room) I decided that my picture of the day should be my TV rig. It’s probably the most unfeminine part of my apartment but I combat it with my pink headphones and under TV shoe storage (keep in mind the 14 pairs of shoes seen there is just the tip of the iceberg, I own over 200 pairs ) my preferred 360 controller is also pink although all of my controllers and most of my remotes are actually put away in this photo which is a rare occurrence.

What all is hooked up to the TV you ask?
- Most importantly I have two switches which most of the video game systems are hooked to the TV through, I actually need a third one but haven’t picked one up yet ^^;
- Sony Playstation 1
- Sony Playstation 2 with hard drive (I have a second PS2 hooked up in my bedroom)
- Sony Playstation 3 60 gig Japanese Version with 500 gig laptop hard drive dropped in
- Nintendo 64
- Nintendo Game Cube with Game Boy reader
- Nintendo Wii (actually got it on launch day)

- Sony 5 disc dvd changer (great for blitz watching anime)

and you can’t see them because they are on the bottom shelf but..

I still need a Dreamcast to be completely happy but I am fairly pleased with my current rig although I need to replace my receiver still as I never bothered to after my bunny chewed through the wires I just opted to run everything through my Sony 51-cd stereo which actually sounds pretty damn good.

Storage Issues

I think it is safe to assume that I have outgrown my apartment. I love my apartment and don’t really want to move but I am running out of storage options. I remember when I first moved in and thought the place was huge and that I would never be able to fill it up, I apparently took it as a challenge. Although I have spoke about these issues before I have never really taken pictures of it before..
The closet
The closet, admittedly this doesn’t look so bad until you realize the dimensions of the closet. It’s only about 5ft tall by 4ft wide but it is 15ft long and it is packed throughout as tight as possible with doll boxes and figures boxes.
More bedroom piles
I already have two full storage units out in town and I really did not wish to rent a third so I have actually been piling the boxes from all of the newer acquisitions in my bedroom, this particular pile is in the corner of my bedroom and goes from floor to ceiling ^^;

The far side of my bedroom by the windows is actually inaccessible because I have so many boxes piled up ^^;

I bet you are wondering where I am going with this post, it is not going to result in a sales post although now that I know I am not going to Anime Boston this year I am considering selling the content of my trade box as at this point it is just taking up needed space lol. I spoke to my property manager on Friday, discussing my lease that runs out in a few months wondering if the one apartment larger than my own on the property might be available it doesn’t look like it would be available in the time frame I want but the property manager did inform I had forgotten about a free storage unit in the building of my apartment complex.  I am going to use the storage unit to get the anime figure boxes that are currently in my bedroom out. I spent all morning sorting through them and packing them up to prep them to go into storage.
Off to storage
I made lots of discoveries in the process of packing everything like Super Dollfie/ Dollfie Dream shipping crates can hold nine standard nendoroid cases each.

I also decided that I am going to completely rearrange my apartment tomorrow as I don’t like the current layout. I am effectively going to move my living room into my dining room completely take over the living room area for use as my doll room and I haven’t quite decided where my dining room table is ending up, I eat at it so rarely I am tempted to just use it as a display place honestly at this point ^^; . I have more work to do with the boxes now but first I have to break down my pinky tree so I have a place to put all of these damned shipping crates of boxes ^^;

Goals for 2010

As we bid adieu to 2009, I have decided to make a list of goals for myself for the year 2010.

General Goals
- Clean the apartment- the current level of chaos is unheard of.
- Move to larger apartment or buy house
- Watch more anime, while on that subject when I do actually watch anime watch new stuff instead of re-watching old favorites >_<
- Read more manga, get caught up on what I need to
- Finish reading the gifted 250 gig hard drive of Batman and related comics, also finish reading Sin City
- Find some time for Halo 3 and Halo ODST seriously I could use the stress relief right now
- Completely beat the five games I am currently playing through on various systems, also want to play through Arkham Asylum on hard mode
- Actually have a cell phone last for more than one month, let’s just say it’s a good thing I have cell phone insurance as I have terrible luck with phones *gently cradles her three day old phone*

Doll Goals
- Keep up to date with collecting all the pullips/dals
- Actually get all of the pullips back up on the shelves and get everything organized again instead of current utter chaos
- Organize all the doll crap I have accumulated, possibly sell the excess
- Limit the number of non-essential pullips ie. try to cutback on the number of duplicates, focus on getting the new releases and customs, maybe a few taeyangs and well Papins don’t count…
- Keep to my blythe goal of no more than 26 blythes at a time, didn’t seem like so impossible a goal when I set it originally but I am already up to 15 (not counting the 7 sold) within a year of starting collecting.
- While on the subject of blythes.. Get a Kenner- haha! More realistically get Ribboneta Wish
- Get Dollfie Dream Grail- Illyavasal MDD
- Get Super Dollfie Grail- Nono
- Get other Super Dollfie Grail- Chii
- Get more dollfie clothing and shoes
- Resist urge to buy more pukis- I will have my third one soon and then my collection will be complete
- Try to resist the siren call of more Little Fees.. I can see that on failing.
- Go to Puddle (still debating feasibility and whether or not I can get time off of work)
- Finish Dollfie projects- Mahoro & Utena so project Komugi can start

Anime Figures and Swag Goals
- Go to Anime Boston
- Finish collecting all of the damned Pinky Street
- Reshelve figures, dusting needed and rotate out figures that have fallen out of favor stick them in storage until later
- Buy Disgaea 3- Rozalyn Nendoroid
- Acquire Figure grail – Nurse Witch Komugi figure Link
- Don’t get carried away with buying too many figures, be less impulsive with purchases
- Find and purchase the Mahoromatic and Disgaea towels that have been on my wish list for ages
- Build more kits, still in the middle of a perfect grade Gundam kit-
- Get the figures on my desk in some semblance of order
- Acquire Macross x Lucky Star figures
- Photograph more of my figure collection
- Get apartment clean enough so I can photograph a good portion of my figures anyway

Online Goals (WordPress/Flickr etc.)
- Organize this blog better, for those of you keeping a close eye on this site you may have noticed that I am already in the process of working on it.
- Organize flickr, delete older photos and replace with newer, better photos
- Finish various projects I have started but never completed here ^^;

Sick Leave

Both myself and zilla were actually hospitalized last night. She is in better health than myself but because of her age (14 months) I was more worried about her. She has been kind of under the weather since Thursday of last week but then Saturday she was really sick, she seemed to perk right up on Sunday though so I thought she was the mend unfortunately I caught whatever it is she had but worse and her symptoms started to pick up again in severity last night so I took her in. The doctors took one look at me and admitted me as well. I am supposed to be on bed rest for the next week but seeing how I am the only one who is able to tend to the zilla currently I have a very slim chance of actually getting any rest. I probably won’t be online much, if at all during the next week so this is just a heads up. All sales are suspended until further notice, shipping the last batch of packages out today. I couldn’t think of a more apt image for this so please enjoy Nurse Witch Komugi (image is probably of my most wanted anime figure that I don’t own). I actually ended up ordering the Wave figure of her today while looking online for pictures of her. So eventually their will be at least one more anime figure to blog.

Baby Godzilla's first birthday

For those of you who don’t know, I actually have a daughter who has recieved the nickname Baby Godzilla (or sometimes just zilla child) because of the general amount of chaos and havoc she likes to rain down on my anime figure and doll collections (that and she growls- the doctor assures me that is perfectly normal behavior but it is still hilarious to hear her growl when running off gleefully with one of my dolls/figure in tow).

Of course, being my child she wasn’t even a day old when she watched her first episode of anime (Code Geass) and one of my dolls was even sneaked into the hospital (not by me, someone actually went back for it without even being instructed to do) for a photo op. I am really not trying to force anime on to her but at the same time it is everywhere in the apartment, the cieling in the nursery for example is covered with Chobits posters.

At first there wasn’t too much of a problem with her getting into everything as she wasn’t too mobile but once she figured out how to crawl we started having issues especially with the blythes…

I am not sure why she loves the blythes so but she absolutely loves to get a hold of them for a good chew session so much so I have selected one of them to be the designated chew doll (I discourage her from chewing on them in general but sometimes when she gets really rowdy it is better to hand her one than for her to start climbing up the shelves and start knocking everything down in an attempt to get one down herself).

Zilla child’s wave of destruction really ramped up when she learned how to walk, she has already learned how to get past the baby gates so all of the more limited/fragile figures have to be placed up as high as possible. I have long since accepted that while I can take as long as three hours to reset a single shelf she can destroy the same shelf in around 30 seconds. She really loves the lower shelf of my Suzumiya display, I swear it gets hits daily T_T
One year later
She turned one on Sunday so I decided to take another picture of her to share (I photograph her daily but I rarely share pictures of her online re-concerns for privacy also why I am not sharing her actual name anywhere on this post) with Clementine (the same pullip that visited her in the hospital, she is my personal favorite of all my dolls). I had to quickly snatch Clementine away less she be chewed upon. Note the decimated figumates in the background..

As far as her actual birthday went, she got several anime plushes including Ein from Cowboy Bebop and a Mokona from Tsubasa to add to her ever growing collection.
