It’s been a long while since I have photographed any of my dollfie dreams, as much as I love them I lack the proper space in the apartment to photograph them and it has just now started being nice enough again to venture outside with them. I decided to take my darling little Yui out today as I haven’t taken any pictures of her in a long time.
Yui’s actually one of my favorite Dollfie Dreams, I made the conscious decision when she was announced to forgo the grand majority of the flood of figures from the series and instead focus on attaining the most perfect Yui- the DD. I was not able to completely avoid the temptation to collect K-on figures as I now own all the girls in nendoroid form but besides the nendoroids and the DD I haven’t bought any figures/merchandise from K-on.
Yui’s not quite as adventurous/fearless as some of my other dollfie dreams she didn’t really seem to care for the tree climbing so much.
After fawning over a beautiful Super Dollfie sized Alice in Wonderland themed wa-loli kimono on KeelyVH’s etsy shop for seemingly forever, I finally bought it. I had bought it with my Volks Super Dollfie Nono in mind but well Dollfie Dream Asuka had other ideas about who this new outfit belonged to.
Dollfie Dream Rei has actually been here for a while, she arrived way back in November. She was chronologically the 15th DD (Saber Lily is the most recent arrival and she is the 20th) but she is just now being introduced properly for various reasons.
Poor Rei was the last of the last of the Christmas presents to be opened up this year, we were kind of waiting for a special occasion to open her up and finally had the opportunity to this past weekend.
My Saber Lily Dollfie Dream arrived mid-last week but due to various craziness going in my personal life I didn’t really have a chance to properly welcome her home. I won the right to buy her through Volk’s lottery last December, it’s been a long wait but she is finally here…..
and she is gorgeous.
Just about a month ago, I posted about the newly announced Beatrice DD and Noumi Kudryavka MDD. The lottery for them ran from the 13th until the 16th (it’s still open for a few hours as of this posting) and well even though, I really wasn’t supposed to I entered the lottery for Kudo. Volks lotteries are kind of interesting, you effectively win the right to buy something and entering the lottery is not a guarantee that you will get to buy the item you want. I have been very lucky and have yet to lose a Volks lottery (Rin, Sakura & Saber Lily). Let’s hope my luck holds and Illya will finally have a playmate.
On a related note Saber Lily the last DD I entered the Volks lottery for, arrived this morning via UPS. It’s raining today so probably no pictures of her until tomorrow.
I failed to obtain Kudo through the Volks lottery system, I may still get her eventually but now is not that time apparently.
I recently took Suzumiya and Mikuru out for some photos. I took them to the same location that I photographed my Fate/Stay Night Dollfie Dreams at.
I have been longing to take a new family photo of all of my Dollfie Dreams but the logistics of it are making it a bit troublesome. I don’t have the space or the lighting to try and set them all up indoors and spring is still a ways off so the scenery outside is still kind of lacking. I went to check the rose garden that I like to see if it may be usable for photos but it was still very much covered in snow. I decided to try and use the steps to try and take some pictures of my Fate/Stay Night crew.
I’m skipping ahead a bit in order to get caught up a little quicker ^^; My new netbook died at the hands of the zilla last week and I have been unwilling to go back to using the desktop (mostly due to addiction to certain iPad games) so I have not been keeping up with things here so my apologies for that. I did make a nifty little visual list of all the anime character Dollfie Dreams last week right before the netbook died (I was partially through the Volks’s character list when the netbook got smashed).
Nanoha arrived last Tuesday, she didn’t come until very late in the day so I didn’t photograph her until Wednesday. I wasn’t really supposed to get Nanoha at all, I am supposed to be on a dolly diet after having purchased both the Nia and Mikuru Dollfie Dreams in the past month. Nanoha popped at a really reasonable price and my birthday is at the end of next month so she is counting as an early birthday gift and I am still very much on my dolly diet.
I remember when she was still available from Volks themselves, I had her in my cart and she was almost all the way through the checkout process when I changed my mind at the last second. It wasn’t that I didn’t want her it was that the timing would have been most unwise for my bank account. I have been regretting the decision to not get her ever since.
What better way is there to welcome her
favorite victim dear friend than with a hug?
Mikuru is my 18th Dollfie Dream, I had actually been on the hunt for a Mikuru DD for a long while but something else always managed to pop up and distract me. The most recent distraction was the lovely Nia, I had literally been shopping for Mikuru when a Nia popped up at a good price Nia is a lot harder to find up for sale so I pounced on her. Of course, as much as I love Nia I regretted pushing Mikuru to the side again to get her so I ended up deciding to get Mikuru as well with the understanding that I not buy anymore DD until at least October. The no more DD until October resolution already got hit out of the park, DD #19 should be here on Tuesday and I am already eying the Kudo MDD from the upcoming dolpa.
According to tracking DHL should have delivered Suzumiya’s package yesterday, tracking was frantically checked and rechecked but to no avail. The package was on hold and well DHL is a bit hard to get in contact with, for whatever reason the package didn’t make it in time yesterday and was instead delivered today.
Of course now that Suzumiya’s package has arrived, Suzumiya does not really seem to be in any great hurry to help her dear friend Mikuru out of the package.
Of course, Suzumiya had to take a moment to inspect Mikuru’s stuff to make sure there was nothing worth stealing.
